Pupils in Yr5 can expect...
When children come to Ridgeway Middle School in Yr5, they have their own part of the school, the Yr5 area.
Most of their lessons are taught in the area with their class teacher (about 60%)
Some of their other lessons are taught in other areas of the school. This allows the children in Year 5 a year to get to know and feel comfortable in what can seem like a big school.
Ridgeway is able to offer...
• Specialist classrooms – science lab, music block, D&T (cooking, art, design and technology etc...)
• Teachers with specialism's (science, music, PE, D&T)
• but we are small enough for all staff to know all of the children and all the children know all of the staff. This is incredibly important to make children feel safe, secure and comfortable with the task of learning.
