One day Workshop on NAAC awareness programme on “Quality Assessment and Accreditation

under Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF)” was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell

(IQAC) of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, (M,.P) on 4thFebruary 2019. Workshop was

sponsored by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bengaluru.

Prof. R.P. Tiwari Hon’ble Vice Chancellor presided over this Workshop on NAAC awareness

programme and delivered an opening remark on “Quality Assessment and Accreditation under Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF)” as Mandate by NAAC.

Welcome Address was given by Director of IQAC Prof. Ranveer Kumar. He on behalf of Internal

Quality Assurance Cell extended warm welcome to all the dignitaries Prof R. P Tiwari Hon’able Vice Chancellor, Chief Guest Dr Devender S Kawday, Deputy Adviser, NAAC and Special Guest Dr. A. V. Prasad Assistant Advisor, NAAC Bengaluru, all Directors, all the Faculty and administrative officer of the university, principals and coordinator of various 38 affiliated colleges of Bundelkhand region from Sagar, Damoh, Chhindwara, Chhatarpur district.

Welcome Speech by Director IQAC

During his speech he illustrated the objective of the workshop. It was focus on to create awareness among faculty of the university and affiliated Higher Education Institutions, on the relevance and methodology for accreditation to develop a right perspective on UGC and NAAC mandate for quality enhancement, to create academic environment for promotion of quality in teaching - learning and research in Higher Education Institutions, and to encourage self evaluation, accountability and innovations in Higher Education Institutions.

There were over all 201 participants from the University and 32 were Principals and Coordinators from various affiliated colleges.

Dr. Devender S Kawday, Deputy Adviser, delivered a lecture on “Quality Assessment and Accreditation under Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF)- An Overview”. He focused on Quality Indicator Framework (QIF) consist of seven criteria which represent core function and activity of Higher Education Institutes and key Indicators. He discussed and explained the Qualitative Metrics and Quantitative metrics parameters, and its weightage.

He highlighted on main QIF especially Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS), Innovation ecosystem, Institutional value and social responsibility & best practices to be adopted by the Universities and colleges.

In the second session after lunch Dr. A. V .Prasad, Assistant Adviser, NAAC delivered lecture on

"IIQA and DVV: Two filters in A & A process". He explained the on-line Registration process for

Accreditation. He discussed how to submit the SSR (QnM & QlM) its Data Validation and

Verification (DVV) process along with SSS to pre-qualify for the Valuation

Finally during the discussion and interaction session principals, faculty and administrative

officers asked questions and clarify their several queries regarding the assessment process followed by Honour of our Guests by Momento , shawl and sreefal as a token of appreciation by Prof. D. K.Nema, Dy. Director and Dr Sushil Kashaw coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell.

Dr Sushil Kashaw, Co-coordinator of IQAC gave the concluding remark and vote of thanks to

all Directors, all the Faculty and administrative officer of the university, principals and coordinator of various 38 affiliated colleges of the university, all the participants and all the departmental coordinators those who extended their support for the success of the workshops. IQAC also thanks to NAAC for cooperation and extending financial support for this workshop.

Relevance of the Program: This awareness programme will motivate faculties of University, Principals/Colleges for their accreditation process and to promote quality in Higher Education Institutions. Expected Outcome of the workshop:

To develop mechanism of documentation process and record keeping of every academic activities. Submission of AQAR and SSR on given period on time. To focus on criterion VII (i.e Institutional Values and best practice).
