• The plan is to keep the grade 7/8 students separate from the high school students unless grade 8 parents agree to a grade 8/9 elective. Selection sheets were sent to all grade eight families and scheduling is nearly complete.

• Grade 7/8 students will eat during the first lunch time (10:39 - 11:09), except those in gr. 8/9 electives.

• A block of 13 classrooms have dedicated solely to grade 7/8 classes.

• There are six classrooms on the first floor and seven on the second floor.

• Grade 7/8 students currently take their core classes daily for a total of 6 classes per week.

• Classes meet daily and, one day per week, each class meets for a double period.

• Grade 7/8 students will take one or two elective classes per day.

• Five to ten electives over the course of a week will be offered including music, art, health, cable television, a master writing class and PE.

• Intervention classes (reading, writing) replace one of the electives for some students.
