Assignment 1
1. A regular pentagonal pyramid, side of base 30 mm and height 65 mm, lies on one of its
triangular faces in HP. Its axis is parallel to VP. A section plane, perpendicular to the VP and
parallel to the HP, cuts its axis at a point P which is 7 mm away from its base. Draw its front
view and sectional top view.
2. A cylinder, diameter of base 50 mm and height of axis 70 mm, rests on HP on its base rim
such that its axis is inclined at 45˚ to HP and top view of the axis is inclined at 60˚ to the VP.
Draw its projection.
3. A hexagonal prism of base side 30 mm and axis length 60 mm is resting on HP on one of its
bases with two of the vertical faces perpendicular to VP. It is cut by a plane inclined at 600 to
HP and perpendicular to VP and passing through a point at a distance 12 mm from the top
base. Draw its front view, sectional top view and true shape of section.
4. A cylindrical, diameter of base 60mm and height 75mm is inclined 45° to H.P. & new plan
axis inclined 30° to V.P. Draw the projection of solid.
5. A pentagonal prism of 25mm side and 60mm height is standing on one of its base side corner
on the HP such that its axis makes an angle of 60º with the HP and parallel to VP. A sectional
plane is cutting this prism which makes an angle of 45º with the HP. This cutting plane is
perpendicular to VP and passing through the top most corner. Draw sectional top view and
