RPIGC: SOC• RASPBERRY PI GAMING – A SYSTEM ON A CHIP (SoC).• A system on a chip is an integrated circuit (IC) that integrates

all components of a computer into a single chip.• Small form factor.• Low power.• Cheap.

Page 4: Raspberry pi gaming consolele

RPIGC: SOC• Raspberry pi is a SOC.• Many ports and inputs.• Two models manufactured

(model A and B).• Ram, graphics and CPU

integrated into board.• Storage is separate from the

pi.

RPIGC: Gaming• Multiplatform experience for the user.• Over 100 available and popular titles.• Easily accessible downloadable content.• 60 frames per second in most cases.• Simple UI.• Extra button functions.

Page 8: Raspberry pi gaming consolele

RPIGC: Programming• We use Linux Based Raspbian as the OS.• The programming was done through the given

terminal.• The teensy was programmed through the use of

Arduino.

Page 9: Raspberry pi gaming consolele

RPIGC: Modularity• Our case design is a fully open one.• Our build materials are inexpensive and accessible.• Our RPIGC can be repurposed with a simple swap

of SD cards.• Some external power sources may be used.

Page 10: Raspberry pi gaming consolele

RPIGC: Prototyping• We have went through

many prototypes.• Several case designs were

tested in solid works.• Multiple displays used.• Several human interface

devices.

Page 11: Raspberry pi gaming consolele

RPIGC: Failures/Obstacles• Problems with printing the 3D Case.• Slight fire incident.• Broken Xbox controller.• SD card corruption.
