Raptor® OverviewState-of-the-art 3D GPR Array solution

First commercial array built on the latest Real-Time Sampling (RTS) technology*

• Provides well-balanced arrays, up to any number of channels (recommend 30-ch max)

• Very fast collection of 3D GPR data at speeds in excess of 130 km/hr. @ 5 cm point intervals

• Conventional systems typically operate at no more than 30 km/hr., with the same settings

*to the best of our knowledge at time of launch

What does RTS offer?

• By using modern electronics, the data collection rate of a GPR-receiver may be raised to ~200 MHz, vs. the commonly used 100-300 kHz, i.e. in the order of 1000 times*

• Faster data acquisition may be used for 1) quicker surveys, or 2) higher dynamic range/less noise. In fact, with Raptor® we do both.

OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE

Noise levels may be viewed at late times in the A-scan, in this case we look on 16-bit representation of data from an RTS-system vs. data from a traditional GPR, set for high speed. Noise levels differs by a factor of approximately 14

Benefits of RTS

1. Ease of use…no need to worry about settings anymore, the system is capable to adapt to varying survey speeds, while maintaining optimal settings

2. Virtually no speed limitations, especially important for vehicle-mounted operations

3. One complex and expensive unit less

4. For arrays - higher level of redundancy

5. Higher performance = deeper penetration

System layout

➢ Each receiver (Rx) controls 2 transmitters (Tx) shared with neighbors

➢ At least 1 Receiver must be a master, having additional connectors

➢ Number of channels limited by physical constraints on time slots

As long as everything is green, all units work and data is being gathered correctlyFailing units will show red-alerts, as in this example

Data acquisition

2D-profiles are shown during data collection, but the priority is QA/QC

As the survey evolves, the map also becomes a quality tool to minimize gaps in coverage

Data acquisition

If an access point is available, a moving map can be viewed instead of radar dataOpenStreetMap

Several projects may be viewed on the map simultaneously and can be zoomed in/out
