I asked 9 people to fill out a questionnaire about questions of which I will apply to my

magazine.

Out of 9 people I asked 5 of them were male. From this

I learn that most of the results were male based

answers so perhaps I should try to appeal to the male

audience before the female audience, as only two

females participated in the survey.

The vast majority of the people asked were 16-17 with a

small majority of them being 18-19. As nobody was aged

14-15 I should not aim at a younger audience and keep it

relatively mature but not enough to complicate the

teenage audience.

This particular question was multiple choices so I got over

9 results but wanted to take into account that peoplehave diverse tastes. As you can see rock and metal were

joint leaders so my magazine will concentrate on both

these genres to relate to a vast audience. I will not involve

indie rock due to the lack of popularity.

Judging by the questionnaire people would prefer to

have the magazine released monthly. So I will include

more content unlike the smaller weekly magazine.

The vast majority would like to see a red white and black

colour scheme. This is no surprise due to the connotations

the colours send and how they relate to the rock and

metal genre. As colour scheme will change I will use one of

the other options but for the theme of the magazine I will

go by public demand.

The same amount of people would happily pay £2 and

over as the amount of people who would pay £1 and

over so many estimates come to mind. Few people

would pay £3 and over so it is unlikely I would charge

that much.

Only a few more people would not buy a subscription

than people who would. So it is defiantly worth

advertising and should probably make sure it is effective

in order to persuade the other people.

Judging by this very few people are effected by

adverts so I need to decide whether to take them

out completely or invest time in making them more

effective.

This was another multiple choice question and by

the looks of it all choices were very popular.

However Interviews were the most popular so this

will be my double page spread. I will also advertise

for other articles to please a wider target audience.

This Chart shows that my target audience

cares more about the feature image and the

quality and quantity of content. This shows me

that I should spend a lot of time developing

these aspects in order to relate to my targetaudience. This was a multiple choice question.

The questionnaire has allowed me to understand what my target audience would prefer to have in the

magazine and so I can relate to them thus making a better magazine. After seeing the results I understand

that my target audience would like a monthly magazine about rock and heavy metal, sold for about £2 and

that they would like to see a red, white and black colour scheme. I have also learnt that I should use much

more effective adverts as few are affected by them in other magazines. I should concentrate of the content

and feature image as this is what tempts the reader to buy them and I should have an interview as my

feature.
