• The title of the film is easily visible for the audience to notice – on top of main image
• Can either be landscape or horizontal
• Colour scheme relates to genre
• Date displayed clearly
• Main image takes up the majority of page and is usually centred
• In small text will include the actors names
• Website film and movie logo
• Credits (producers etc) shown in narrow writing usually at the bottom of the page
• Text is minimal as the image is the main attraction
• A slogan is displayed in medium sized text – this gives the audience a fell for the genre and storyline

My Film Poster conventions
From my research into real film posters, I found conventional techniques that I would use. When planning my film poster, I wanted to keep very conventional. I felt I stuck to this very well as feedback from my poster has said there were no stand out un-conventional features..

Slogan Two main characters taking up most of the page
Serious expressions relate to the genre - thriller
Mise-en-scene, smart and sophisticated, relates to genre again
Credits (producers etc)Film website
Bold texts but slightly fun reflects the playfulness (e.g.. Transitions)
Actors names
Image faded to show poker side of storyline
Colour scheme red, black and white
Film title bold across poster
