Hello Again,

We hope you all are doing well. In this 4th newsletter, you will find

resources on adolescent/ youth counseling services, as well as for adults.

Included is information coming from the school districts. Information

ranges from educational resources, to hotspot access. We hope you and

your families are well; and know that our department is thinking of all

our families and students during this stressful time. We look forward to

seeing our families when it is safe to do so. As always, if you have any

questions, please reach out to your liaison.

APS information:

APS@HOME HelplineOffering information and referrals to health andhuman services, government agencies &community-based organizations.

In order to support our families during the school

closure, APS is opening the APS@Home Helpline. The

helpline offers free information and referrals to health and

human services, government agencies, and community-based

organizations to people in need of help.

We are continually researching services that are open during the COVID-19

social distancing orders, in order to provide referrals that will link families to the organizations

that can best address their needs. Calls are answered Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

(beginning Monday, April 27.)

Please call 768-LINK (5465).

Please note that the APS Student, Parent, and Employee Service Center is also still open. The

Service Center is the district’s customer service department and will answer questions and

concerns related to the district, and student’s education. Calls are answered Monday-Friday from

8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to high call volume, if possible, please email [email protected] or

call 855-9040 for assistance.

Clothing Bank to DeliverNew Socks, Underwear &Gently-Used Clothes toSchools for Students in Need

Families can safely pick up items atschools on May 21-22.

The APS Community Clothing Bank will be working with schools to provide new socks and

underwear to students in need. The Clothing Bank also has a limited supply of gently-used

clothing in specific sizes. All students who attend APS schools and charters are eligible to receive

these items while supplies last.

Contact your school's counselor, social worker, nurse, family liaison, or

community coordinator before May 7 if your child is in need of clothing.

The items will be delivered to schools and families should plan to pick up their orders on

May 21-22 at their child's school.

The school will contact families with pick-up times and procedures for safe

social-distancing pickup.

a number of APS schools and other public locations. Users can drive up to within 100 feet of the

mobile units and stay in their cars to promote social distancing while accessing a

free WiFi connection.

This is to let you know that beginning this Thursday, April 30, our student meal pickup schedule for

weekends will change. Student meals for Thursday and Friday will both be handed out to

parents on Thursdays. Meals for the weekend -- Saturday and Sunday -- will be passed

out on Fridays. Meal pickup hours will remain the same.

Hello Santa Ana Pueblo Families!

I just wanted to let you know about some free digital learning

resources available to all New Mexicans and offered through the New

Mexico State Library’s El Portal (elportalnm.org) in case you weren’t already

aware. Although El Portal offers A LOT, I thought the resources listed below may

be of interest to you and your students as you work and learn remotely from home.

Brainfuse:

Jobnow:

Brainfuse is an online educational portal that specializes in one-to-one tutoring, study skills-building, and career

assistance through its HelpNow™ and JobNow™ services. Brainfuse boasts a state-of-the-art routing and staffing

system to ensure that students receive help in a timely fashion even during periods of high demand. All tutors have a

four-year college degree and submit to a rigorous selection and training process. Additionally, Spanish-speaking tutors

are available. Brainfuse’s policy is to provide explanations of concepts – not just the answer.

A unique tutoring and study suite designed for learners of all ages. It consists of expert tutoring including one-to-one

online homework help, state-aligned skills building, writing assistance, an adult learning center, foreign language

center, and 24/7 question center. Further, its study tools include access to a testing center, group study collaboration

Kids InfoBits meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. It features a developmentally

appropriate, visually graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate,

curriculum-related magazine, newspaper and reference content for information on current events, the arts,

science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Gale curates and vets all its information, providing a secure online platform

in which students and educators can utilize digital learning resources with

relative ease. Although their kindergarten-readiness program, Miss

Humblebee’s Academy, is not available through El Portal, they have

granted temporary open access if you’re interested. They’ve also got some

really helpful information on their COVID-19 Support Page especially in

regard to virtual teaching.

Gale eBooks is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources which includes several resources

for children, including twelve STEAM titles for the K-12 audience and twelve bi-lingual Spanish titles for the

K-2 audience

Gale In Context: Middle School combines the best of Gale's reference content with age-appropriate videos,

newspapers, magazines, primary sources, and much more. Students will find outstanding support to complete

assignments in core subjects including literature, science, social studies, and history.

Gale OneFile: High School Edition provides access to age-appropriate, authoritative digital content for middle

and high-school students to use for classroom assignments. Learners can research magazines, journals,

newspapers, and reference books covering a range of subjects—from science, history, and literature to political

science, sports, and environmental studies.

Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints is an engaging online experience for those seeking contextual information

and opinions on hundreds of today's hottest social issues. Drawing on the acclaimed Greenhaven Press series, the

solution features continuously updated viewpoints, topic overviews, full-text magazines, academic journals, news

articles, primary source documents, statistics, images, videos, audio files and links to vetted websites organized

into a user-friendly portal experience.
