ORIGINAL PROBLEM STATEMENT

Experience empathy, so she (stakeholder) can improve her relationship with people because she does not know how to listen and empathize with her co-workers. This lack of empathy creates problems for her in the workplace.

Additional Notes: Stakeholder is a well-educated, middle-aged woman that has been released from three jobs because she does not get along with her co-workers. She considers herself always right and the vic-tim in all the cases. The Stakeholder can also be very argumentative.

SOLUTION - EASIEST TO CONVINCE STAKEHOLDER TO TRY

We decided to go with the Practical Idea expressed in an earlier assignment. In trying to create em-pathy in the stakeholder, this exercise was to increase happiness during stressful times. (See below.)

Practical Idea Have stakeholder make herself happier. With the assumption made that a person that cannot empathize with co-workers may not be a happy person, the idea would be to encourage only happy thoughts. Visiting a book store and using imagery of her in-terests that make her happy and then making a photo flipbook of those images, could help her with the visualization process.

SOLUTION - SECOND MOST FEASIBLE FOR STAKEHOLDER TO TRY

Since the Stakeholder is a former teacher, we wanted to present to her the possibility of tutoring or mentoring through an organization. In offering her services to those requiring specific training she has and place her in a position of being needed, we hope to gain her cooperation and give her the ability to recognize and empathize with those truly in need of assistance.
