2. Study@poly Introduction of Polytechnic education 3. TRAIN OF THOUGHTS Make-the-Pitch idea construed from a television series which made peoples innovation and product to be noticed. The show brought a lot of Malaysians to put their train of thoughts into practice, and tested and finally got their product marketed. Definition : The train of thought refers to the interconnection in the sequence of ideas expressed during a connected discourse or thought, as well as the sequence itself, especially in discussion how this sequence leads from one idea to another. 4. TRAIN OF THOUGHTS Make-the-Pitch (MTP) was designed in accordance to the semester 3 new syllabus AE301. MTPs objective is to rope in students speaking ability, presentation techniques, inspiring their critical as well creative thinking and as well us enforcing technopreneurship. The programme instilled the idea of technopreneurship where students are given the training to be entrepreneurs who make use of technology to come out with new or innovative products through a process of commercialization. We strongly believed that potential Technopreneurs must be equipped with both technical and business skills. 5. TRAIN OF THOUGHTS It has brought innovation to our students in many levels and aspects. The innovation brought them this train of thoughts: Better communication skills Sharpened analytical skills Sourcing Entrepreneurship and marketing Excitement in teaching and learning. 6. IDEAS OF THE INNOVATION The innovation is inspired from these aspects: Syllabus of Semester 3 polytechnic of Malaysia Communicative English 2 module. A national television program called Make-the-Pitch. Hands-on experience in form of Theory and Practice product innovation for daily use in ones life. (practical skills) 7. IDEAS OF THE INNOVATION Instilling the language and communication skills. (presentation skills) Entrepreneurship and marketing skills (analytical skills) Innovation in the process of Teaching and Learning in classroom. Embedding the innovation with green technology. 8. WHATS THE OUTPUT? OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION: Innovative brain storming Management Financial planning Blended learning (technical & language) Fun presentation and authentic assessment. 9. WHATS THE OUTPUT? Practice makes perfect indeed a wellsaid proverb from these students innovation project. The students motivation and dedication to produce a product was greater seen from these presentation. All in all its a test put to reality in language, marketing and technological knowledge as well as brushing their engineering skills. 22. VISION AND MISSION Projects extension to other semesters.
