SOME NOTES ABOUT THIS MACHINE:

I HAVE USED THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS AS PRESENTED IN THE ARTICLE BY ARNOLD THORP IN THE MODEL MAGAZINE OF AUGUST 1982 REGARDING THE MODEL OF A CORLISS CONDENSING ENGINE.I HAVE SOMEWHAT SIMPLIFIED THIS ENGINE. THERE IS NO CONDENSING PUMP UNIT.A NUMBER OF PARTS ARE MADE FROM (EXISTING) CASTINGS. I HAVE TRIED TO DESIGN THIS MACHINE USING BAR STOCK AND READILY AVAILABLE STANDARD MATERIALS.ALSO OFCOURSE I HAVE CONVERTED THE IMPERIAL DIMENSIONS TO METRIC AND AT THE SAME TIME I HAVE ENLARGED THIS MACHINE 1.5 TIMES.I FOUND THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS VERY CONFUSSING AND SOMETIMES PARTS WERE NOT PLACED IN A LOGICAL ORDER SO THAT IT WAS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO FIND WHICH PARTS BELONGS TO WHAT AND WHERE.IF YOU ARE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS YOU MAY FIND THAT SOME PARTS ARE DIFFERENT THEN ORIGINALLY DRAWN.
