WHAT’S NEW?Since voter approval of the November 2018 referendums, the District has kicked-off the planning and design process. The Core Planning Team (CPT), made up of district staff and administrators, has begun meeting with Bray Architects and JP Cullen to refine floor plans at the high School and elementary school, and is making progress on the secure entries at both Yahara Valley Elementary and the middle school.

WHAT’S NEXT?In the month ahead, the District will be working with Bray Architects to establish subcommittees made up of staff from both the high school and Community Elementary. These subcommittees will be charged with providing guidance and feedback on the daily operations of each of the buildings in regards to the proposed floor plans. The District and its design/construction partners are also working on scheduling tours of schools for the CPT and subcommittees to get a sense of what other districts in the area are doing.

WHEN WILL CONSTRUCTION BEGIN?Construction is scheduled to run from June 2019 through August 2020. The projects will be completed in phases to keep as much of the buildings operational as possible during the construction process.

In an effort to keep the community, students and staff informed and engaged throughout the process, the District will continue to provide monthly progress reports throughout the design and construction phases.
