Collaboratively markets and promotes the BAS degree program(s) within the campus, local community, and larger community to recruit and enroll prospective students

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Authored informational and promotional materials (articles for

various press releases and newsletters, and presentations for various audiences)

• Designed infographics, charts, flyers, bi-fold program brochures, online ads

• Created and maintained social media outlets – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn group

• Started a Women in Technology meetup, now boasting over 100 members, meeting once a month

• Co-planned, coordinated and carried out an IT Advisory Board and Industry Meet & Greet, with close to 40 companies represented

• Networked at various meetups and community events

Provides relevant, current information about the program to prospective and current students

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Managed ongoing cohort / roster / waitlist database• Advised, guided, enrolled, and registered new students;

provided support and resources, as needed • Met with faculty and various departments around campus to

ensure that all information given to potential and current students was correct, and that the support given was meeting the needs and expectations of the student programs and departments on campus (i.e., VA, Running Start, IGrad, ODEI)

Advises students, works with them to create an educational plan, and assists them with any other educational needs they have in order to facilitate their success in the program

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Offered on demand advising – open door policy where

new and current students were assisted whenever possible. (On demand advising accounted for 10-20 hours per week, on average)

• Conducted quarterly, individual check-ins and initiated barrier interventions when necessary

• Researched and connected students to financial aid, scholarships, and other resources both on campus and off

• Met with other campus divisions and departments to ensure correct, current information was being shared

Assists students in the improvement of soft skills and job seeking skills

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Co-facilitated and presented quarterly workshops

• 4 resume development workshops• 2 internship and job search workshops• 1 LinkedIn profile development webinar• 1 workplace communication workshop

• Shared articles, videos and presentations on hiring trends, industry data, best companies to work for, etc.

• Reviewed and edited student resumes, cover letters and applications as needed

Establishes and fosters relationships with managers at various organizations in the local community and larger community with the aim of placing work-ready students in cooperative, mutually beneficial internships and jobs

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Co-facilitated and acted as host to monthly guest speakers

who informed students about hiring and technology trends

• Co-created and built the Tech Program’s centralized industry contact list (115+ names in 6 months)

• Co-facilitated and attended Advisory Committee meetings

• Promoted internships, conducted screenings as needed, then followed up to see if the student(s) met the expectations of the employer

Supports and coordinates program-related special projects and events

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Planned, coordinated and carried out a half day workshop

event for Kentridge and PSSC HS students, and two Tahoma HS fieldtrips

• Coordinated and co-led meetings with other local colleges to build articulation agreements and better pathways for associate’s students and to foster good relationship with other programs

• Acted as “client” on 1-2 student projects per quarter• Planned, initiated and met with departments across

campus to present on the bachelor’s degrees and to foster good communication of IT bachelor’s degree information

Proactively, positively and passionately furthers the success of the individual student, Green River's IT program, and Green River College

In fall and winter quarters, the program manager:• Facilitated meetings and provided materials, marketing and

administrative support to: • College in the High School initiative, currently started with

PSSC, and in process with Kent, Auburn and Tahoma school districts

• Network Administration and Security’s future launch at Clark College

• Attended and contributed to area IT/Tech networking events (i.e., community events, meetups, interest groups) and conducted targeted virtual networking over LinkedIn

• Trained, coached and supervised the IT Program’s Classroom Tech and two work study students
