amazing!

ADVENTURE

Join the Adventure this year as we explore the “It’s Your World – Change It!” journey series. We will highlight events and opportunities that will help you and your Girl Scout earn the badges and awards offered in the journey for each level. Coming this year, we will host a fun-filled weekend in March that will lead the girls through parts of the journey and help you connect with other troops and resources that make achieving these badges easier and more fun for you and your Girl Scout.

Older Girl Training: pg. 24

Want to be the best babysitter on the block? Sign your Girl Scout up for one of the many trainings that we offer for older girls. She can help aid a program or take a training to enhance skills that she will be able to use for the rest of her life.

Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee has something for everyone. We have programs for the girl who loves to explore or the girl who wants to become a famous actress. Whatever the passion or dream, we have what you need to make it a reality. Let’s do something amazing!

4

Packaged Programs:

This leader thing can keep you busy enough, let us help prepare a meeting for you. Packaged Programs are just that, a program in a box. You rent the box, and we make sure that everything you need is in it waiting for you. There are various programs to choose from. For a complete list visit our website.

Troop Camping: pg. 37

Singing songs, roasting your marshmallow and camping in the woods, that is what memories are made of. Sign your troop up for camping this year and create your own memories and ones that Girl Scouts remember for the rest of their lives. We have four wonderful camps that offer experiences for every level of camper.

On Your Own:

Take advantage of the partnerships Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee have with other organizations. Programs are offered through different vendors around Middle Tennessee. All registrations and information comes through the vendor providing the program. You can check out these opportunities through our website and email publications.

5

GET REGISTERED FOR A PROGRAM!STEP 1: DECIDE ON A FUN ADVENTURE!

STEP 2: REGISTER FOR THE PROGRAMVisit the E Council registration page: (www.gsmidtn.org)

1. Select ‘Program Event’ to view the calendar, then select month and year of the event and press ‘go.’

2. Events will appear on the calendar in different colors. View the key at the top left for color explanation.

3. After you have clicked on your event, you will choose ‘troop’ or ‘individual.’ If you are registering several girls from a troop, choose troop. If you are registering a girl as an individual participant, choose individual.

4. The next screen asks for specific information about those who will be attending, including both girl(s) and adult(s). Please note: If you click submit and are notified that you have left out information, DO NOT click the back button to go back, but hold down the alt key and select the left arrow key to return to the previous page.

When registration is complete, you’ll then receive a confirmation. This does not place you into the

program/event. This verifies receipt of registration only.

Be sure to print or save your confirmation of registration. The E Council confirmation only acknowledges that you registered online for a Girl Scout program, it does not confirm that you have been placed in the program

Once placement is confirmed, you will receive a billing statement and/or additional correspondence from our office.

.

STEP 3: PAYMENTOnce you have registered and the program is scheduled (and met it’s minimum), E Council will send you an invoice by email or by mail from our council registrars. You will have 10 days from the date you receive your invoice to make payment. We do not accept partial payments for programs. For your troop to be considered paid in full, you must submit the full payment.

STEP 4: BEFORE YOUR PROGRAMLetters or emails will be sent to you at least one week prior to the event with all information you will need. If your troop’s registration was received after the event was filled, you will be put on a waiting list and will receive notification if space becomes available.

Registrations cannot be finalized without full payment. If your troop or an individual in your troop needs financial assistance, submit a financial aid (copy in back of this book) request to the program team. A staff member will notify you of the results of your request.

Mail your PayMents to:Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee | Attn: Program Registrars 4522 Granny White Pike | Nashville, TN 37204

REFUND/CANCELLATIONEvents run rain or shine unless inclement weather would adversely affect a program. In those cases, participants will be notified of a cancellation or rescheduling. If GSMIDTN cancels the event for any reason, a refund will be issued for 100% of the registration fee, based on program expenses. Troops or individual Girl Scouts may cancel a reservation and request a refund in writing no later than 30 business days before an event.

(A program that has specified “no refunds” will not grant refund requests for any reason. Refund requests can be sent via mail or email.)

PROGRAM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Programs are planned with Girl Scouts in mind. Tag-a-longs are limited to certain events. Specified in descriptions.
