Sherman ISD is committed to a culture of continued professional learning for all staff. This summer we will offer several opportunities to engage in content-specific and pedagogical training to support you in the delivery of quality student-centered instruction for our students. Through campus and district level leadership teams we have built an infographic that embodies what we believe to be best practices for Instructional Strategies. These include: Interactive Learning, Metacognition, The Formative Assessment Process and Differentiation. These sound educational strategies are built on the solid foundation that builds positive relationships by making students and staff feel safe, secure and valued as we deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum to every learner. The SISD focus for 2016-2017 is Differentiation, we ask that you pay special attention to these trainings.

We strived to maintain that focus and listen to staff feedback as we put together the array of learning opportunities for Summer Professional Learning 2016. Thank you for your dedication to our students and your continued desire to be a lifelong learner. Please get approval & register for the workshops in Eduphoria: Workshop by April 22nd. After that date we will review numbers and may cancel workshops with low enrollment. You will be notified if your workshop is canceled.
