CAPS representsapolicy statement for learningand teaching inSouthAfricanschools. It replacestheNationalCurriculumStatement(NCS)of2002,2003and2005.

“ThinkingandReasoning”and“LanguageStructure”whichwerepartoftheoldNCS(NationalCurriculumStatement)arenowintegratedintoall4languageskills(listening,speaking,readingandwriting).
