We provide customers and consumers with products that conform to international green environmental protection regulations.

Since the EU implemented the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), WIN has required its products to meet the EU's regulations and other related hazardous substance free regulations to meet the expectations of customers and stakeholders. WIN therefore began actively checking the ingredients of raw materials and establishing hazardous substance free management procedures.

Product Hazardous Substance Management

(I) Checklist of Hazardous SubstancesTo protect the environment and people's safety and health, WIN prohibits or restricts the purpose of use and quantity of hazardous substances in its products and raw materials, based on international directives and customer requirements. Additionally, it has formulated a hazardous substance checklist for compliance by its suppliers and employees. WIN's checklist is composed of two major categories:

Furthermore, suppliers must regularly provide product testing reports and undertake annual supplier assessments as requested by WIN. Regarding new materials, the Technology R&D Department must abide by WIN's hazardous substance free management procedures when determining product specifications and selecting materials to ensure that new materials are hazardous substance free.

Product Safety and Hazardous Substance Management

(III) Existing Supplier EvaluationWIN requests all of its suppliers to provide declaration for not use of hazardous substances or third-party testing reports as part of the basis of evaluations so as to ensure that the raw materials which WIN uses are free of hazardous substances.

Management of Conflict Minerals

WIN complies with the "Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas" published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) for the establishment of management mechanisms for conflict minerals, and commit not to use conflict minerals from areas affected by conflicts or high-risk mines. The Company requires all suppliers of the 3TG (gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), and tungsten (W)) to use the "Responsible Minerals Assurance Process" (RMAP) to ensure that conflict minerals WIN purchased were legally mined.

All WIN's 3TG suppliers have adopted the latest version of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) announced by RMAP for 3TG minerals supplied to WIN to disclose the origins of their minerals and to provide a list of smelters and miners they work with and involved in the processing of these 3TG minerals, so as to ensure that these smelters and miners are internationally recognized as non-conflict smelters and miners. This list is updated periodically. If a supplier cannot meet and implement requirements in the conflict mineral management mechanisms of WIN and provide correct information, the supplier cannot be a qualified supplier for WIN. The Company employs supply chain investigations to ensure that suppliers remain 100% compliant to WIN's management requirements for zero conflict minerals, implement green procurement, and do not use conflict minerals. In addition, WIN does not use any cobalt, so it does not need to conduct any investigations using the CRT (Cobalt Reporting Template).

Declaration of Metal Conflict-Free

WIN Semiconductors Corp. hereby declares the metal Conflict-Free on products supplied to customers.

WIN Semiconductors Corp. establishes Conflict Minerals management procedure consistent with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, and take exercise due diligence within our supply chain to assure the metals of gold(Au), tantalum(Ta), tungsten(W), tin(Sn) and cobalt(Co) are not derived from or sourced from smelter/refiner in conflict-affected and high-risk areas, or illegally taxed on trade routes, either of which are controlled by non-governmental military groups, or unlawful military factions. Our material declaration process would enable us to better understand the applications of many different types of metals, including metals associated with the conflict-affected.

If WIN Semiconductors Corp. identifies any metal sold to us come from Conflict Area, to comply with Metal Conflict-Free policy we will work with our metal suppliers to improve it as soon as possible.

WIN is dedicated to manufacturing innovation and technology development. In the spirit of excellence, we provide customers with high-quality products to achieve customer satisfaction. There have been no product recalls in the past five years.WIN has always attached high importance to customer satisfaction. The opinions they express are the driving force for our efforts towards continuous improvements. WIN also adopts directions and measures derived from customer satisfaction surveys into standard operating procedures (customer satisfaction survey management procedures). We continuously research and develop our own technologies according to customer and market demands. Monthly or quarterly interviews with customers either in person or through video conferencing are conducted to adjust our internal practices, in order to improve work processes and enhance yield rates. In addition, customer satisfaction questionnaires are distributed at the beginning of every year for comprehensive inspection of improvement goals to ensure that performance is in line with customer needs. In 2020, WIN conducted a survey on satisfaction of the top 20 customers that it served in the previous year. A marketing center distributed questionnaire to the customers, and the completed questionnaires were retrieved and submitted to the quality control department for analysis and survey, as illustrated in Figure 3-10.Customers were asked to rate their satisfaction with WIN's services, technologies, quality, delivery time, and circuit design support, with scores of 1 to 5 representing unacceptable to very satisfied. Please see Table 3-3. For items with a score of “2” or “1,” the quality assurance department will take responsibility to confirm cases of customer dissatisfaction and their causes so that improvement or proper measures can be taken to rectify any problems going forward.
