and the Chocolate factory story, consumers had to look for

Last but not least we’re asking everyone to wear the hat of their choice on the day – the more outrageous the better! Swazi United Bakkeries logo and pack design

The brief was to develop a new logo and pack design for a

Swazi bakery. Based on the loyalty Swazi’s have to their country and

heritage the design is based on traditional Swazi patterns

and designs used in their basket making.

Gold Reef City Casino Promo

A glamour promo for the casino. The pirze is a Million Rand in

cash to a single winner. Apparently this is very unusaul for a

promotion of this nature.

Clothing Catalogue - Altitude

Altitude clothing manufactures and sells corporate

unbranded clothing to a rnage of distributors,. They briefed

us to design a catalogue that would show their comprehensive

range in a fresh new light that would set them apart from

other catalogues in the industry. The brief also required the

idea of a rainbow of colour, to be incorporated.

Popz Popcorn from the UK wanted to freshen up their logo,

and launch in South Africa through forecourt stores with a

promotion. The idea behind the activity was to launch it as a

healthy snack.

Prestige cleaning servicesThis started of as a pitch brief. Client wanted a presen-tation pack that would stand out. The pack had to contain their quotes and other printed material. This box was de-signed working with the clean as a whistle idea. We got Pres-tige cleaning services as a new client and produced 300 of these presentation boxes.

Powertech rewards programme

The aim of this programme was to build loyalty in the distribu-

tion channels. Lack of control in the route-to-market, cheap

imports etc. were eroding orders. This rewards programme

has now been running for a couple of years with great suc-

cess, building loyalty and securing regular orders.

Here are two versions that ran during its existence. Both

consisting of a folder with loose inserts, cost obviously being an

issue with item changes etc..

Having signed the appropriate Retail Agent Service Level greement(s) you qualify for

Autotech Reward Rands which can be spent on a quarterly basis on a range of business

enhancing promotional items and services.

Your category has been defined according to your sales performance. You will be reas-

sessed annually, although an interim reassessment may be conducted under special

circumstances on request.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

There are 4 performance areas that can earn you Autotech Reward Rands. These are:

VOLUME SALES

CLAIMS SCRAP RETURNS

LOYALTY

You may or may not qualify on a quarterly basis in each of these performance areas. The

criteria for the Number 1 division are:

Criteria LOYALTYYour Autotech Representative has specific criteria to judge “loyalty”. If the Representa-

tive is unable to approve loyalty the no Reward Rands will be payable and there will be a

temporary suspension from the programme imposed and the matter will be referred to the

Autotech Regional Manager to assist in resolving any issues. VOLUME SALES

Measured on a quarterly basis, equating to minimum monthly sales of 50 batteries or more. If you achieve sales of over 150 batteries quarterly you qualify for 0.50% value of

your invoiced purchases. If you do not achieve a sales volume of over 150 batteries you

will not qualify for any Rewards Rands in this performance area CLAIMSIf your claims, or returned units, equate to less than 3% of your purchases, you will qualify

for a quarterly Rewards Rands credit of R150 (i.e. R50 per month). If your claims equate to

3% or more during a quarter you will not qualify for a credit in this performance area. SCRAP RETURNSIf your scrap returns to Autotech, in units, equate to more than 85% of your battery pur-

chases, you qualify for a quarterly Reward Rands credit of R150 (i.e. R50 per month. WHAT CAN YOU SPEND YOUR AUTOTECH INCENTIVE RANDS ON?There will be a range of business building items to choose from on an ongoing basis. Items

will vary over time and you may check the availability of your choice by phoning:The Autotech Sales Administrator on 011 870 8500.

The price and availability of items will vary from time to time with current prices available

from the Sales Administrator. Please note that Reward Rands may not be “rolled over” or

accumulated for more than 2 quarters. Should you not submit a claim against your Re-

ward Rands during this period, your credit will not be forfeited. However, Autotech reserves

the right to choose reward items or local advertising on your behalf. A guide to items is as follows:
