Northern Beaches Community of SchoolsDebating

On Thursday, May 16th, two debating teams from Mullawayparticipated in the Northern Beaches Community of SchoolsDebating initiative.

This week our school debated students from WoolgoolgaPublic School, with our affirmative (away) team: Eva, Leo,Carolyn and Yasmin travelling to Woolgoolga Public School andour negative (home) team: Billy, Tahli, Lily and Tristen hostingthe Woolgoolga away team.

The topic was "Sport is all about winning".

This is a non-competitive initiative, so there are no winners orlosers, just a great opportunity for our students to fine-tune theirdebating skills.

Well done to our two debating teams, they both did very well fortheir first debate! Thank you also to our debating coordinator,Mr. Skinner.

At this stage I’ve got ScottEnsbey helping out with the BBQ (thanks Scott), and I’ll bethere to help run the canteen.
