    Projects with Prihoda textile diffusers

  • 1.Variable air-flow with PTD Client : ASAS Printing Division member of Constatia Flexibles

    The scope of project :

    To install a fresh air supply system for the new printing machine

  • The chalenge :

    1. Variable airflow 20,000 42,000mc/h (to meet the RTO exhaust) 2. Correct distribution of air :

    avoid draughts in printing area (at high flow) with good penetration to keep workers in clean air (at low airflow)

  • Solution:

    a. Measure real airflow in 2 ducts

    b. Control of AHU fan speed with VFD and measuring the airflow before PTD

    c. Design PTD to work with variable flow and variable static presssure

  • Results:

  • Conclusion:

    good distribution and aesthetic from 16,000mc/h to 42,000mc/h

  • Test limits : from10,000mc/h still good shape

    About 150Pa

  • Test limits : Up to 45,000mc/h client was afraid PTD will burst

    About 450Pa

  • 2. Vertical PTD- first step (Timken Ploiesti) The problem :

    industrial circular displacement terminals are expensive and easy to damage when moving heavy parts with forklifts

    Lindab HLD-0-630 = 350Eur

    One hit and is damaged !! PTD-630-NMS = A really Die hard !!

  • 2. Vertical PTD more (Timken Ploiesti) The problem : old (>40years) industrial grilles producing draughts

    => Lots of complains from modern workers

    Solution : custom-made and simplified lantern

  • Conclusion : a custom-made and simplified lantern

    NMS diffuser with micro-perforations

    Internal cone : permeable material & adjustable outlet to modify direction of jets

  • Conclusion :

    adjustable airflow (like HLD) works well for already 2 years very easy to clean (2014)

    C and Dvar are important for adjusting airflow

  • Client : LEONI Pitesti

    The scope of project : evaporative cooling for large industrial hall

    2. Vertical PTD lets do it bigger

  • The chalenge :

    1. Technical :

    35,000mc/h per cooling unit Good coverage from each unit ( a radius of 15-20m)

    2. Installation :

    Roof height = 13m Difficult access from inside

  • How to do it:

    1. Cut a hole in the roof

    2. Drop inside a (large) PTD

    3. Start the unis and enjoy fresh-cool air

  • Conclusion:

    Very efficient for 15-17m radius

    Easy to install

    L= 9m

    B=2m

    Dn1=1250mm

    Dn2=1600mm

    For shape keeping : the installer added

    one disc on bottom+3kg weight
