Premier financial and development institution of the North East of India.

Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act 1956 on

9th August, 1995.

Registered as an NBFC in 2002 with RBI.

NEDFi has financed over 600 projects in sectors as diverse as healthcare,

jute, tea, InfoTech, agri-business, horticulture, cement, handloom and

handicraft across the region

The Central Government in the Budget of 1998-99 appointed NEDFi as the

nodal agency for disbursement of Central Government subsidies.

NEDFI is a nodal agency for disbursement of Central Subsidies under NEIP

1997 & NEIIPP 2007,

"NEDFi aims to be a dynamic and responsive organisation to

catalyze economic development of the North East by identifying,

financing and nurturing eco-friendly and commercially viableindustrial, infrastructure and agro-horticultural projects in the

region".

industrial enterprises and infrastructure projects in the North

Eastern Region of India

2011-2012

NEDFi has offered a loan of Rs.10 Lakhs in the year to Community

Development Foundation

NEDFi had entered with an agreement with National Backward Classes

Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC)

Business Facilitation Centre (BFC) by NEDFi was set up in Aizawl branch

office on 1st November 2011 and the second was set up in Gangtok, Sikkim

on 1st February 2012.

ON FINAL NOTE

Within the short span of time since its initiation, and despite daunting

constraints, the NEDFi has emerged as the premier financial institution of

the North Eastern Region

NEDFi has gone beyond finance providing consultancy to the

entrepreneur, R&D, promotion of NER, CSR and such other activities.

A network of non-banking financial companies has turned out to be

extremely weak in the Region with dwindling activities over the years.

However NEDFi has ushered in a new era in the pursuit of development in

the Region
