Standard calibration procedure

The following procedure is recommended when calibratingthe indicator and a platform.

1. Select the “Service Menu”.

2. In the service menu, select the “Calibration Menu”.

3. Enter all of the information asked for in the calibration menu. At thecell sensitivity selection, enter the mV/V as load cell specification.

(For TCM & BEK enter 2mV/V)

4. Enter the load cell signal resistance. (For TCM &BEK enter 350Ω)

5. With no weight on platform, select “Calibrate” and press enter key.

6. From the calibration menu, select “Trim cells”. Enter the number ofthe load cell to be trimmed.

Standard calibration procedure (Continue)

Step 7-8 are same as previous procedure. This step is to weight andtrim at every load cells.

7. Place standard weight 2 ton over cell No.1. Press and hold the Up and

DOWN arrow key until the weight displayed is show 2,000kg.

8. Repeat this process for each of others load cells.

Step 9-11 are same as previous procedure. This step is to weight and

trim at every sections.

9. From Calibration menu, select TRIM SECTIONS.

10. Place standard weight 2 ton in the center of section 1. Press and hold

the Up and DOWN arrow key until the weight displayed is show

Step 13-15 are step to check weighing accuracy.

13. Place standard weight 1 ton on somewhere on the scale. The scale

should be show 1,000kg.

14. Place another weight 1 ton on the scale and the scale should be show

2,000kg.

15. Repeat to add and read weight until 10 ton weight on scale.

Step 16-18 are another step to check weighing accuracy.

16. Separate scale to 3 section.

17. Weight empty truck by 3 sections. The results should be the same.

18. Return truck and weighing 3 sections again.

Note: For 60 Ton scale, Tester may use folk lift or empty truck.

For 200 Ton scale, Tester recommended to use empty truck which is already weight from 60 Tonscale for test. Due to 10 Ton weight unable to represent TCM normal operation.

This is complete the truck scale calibration.

Note : if weighing test in step 13-18 are reading out of acceptable. Do step 1 again.

Note from calibrate practice

14

1. Conduct calibrate on hot day time. Truck scale construction need free motion.

2. Minimum required for standard weight for calibration is 1T x 10 sets.

3. With good calibration procedure, TCM still need to conduct weight checking every month.

4. To tare weight every cycle is normal procedure in worldwide especially for high cost mine such

as copper. However, this method is also normally using for coal mining in nowadays.

5. Keep load cell clean is important to accuracy of weighing. High pressure water injection are

required.

6. To improve road condition to flat before and after truck scale is better in order to protect force

impact to load cell that may cause error data reading.

7. Long signal cable is not impact to weighing accuracy, please do not cut it, keep it as previous.
