TURKEY MEETING

EVIL EYE BEAD

• Evil eye beads are used on lots of accessories in our country,such as necklace, bracelet and foot bracelet.It can be used for home decoration as well.

• Its history dates back 3000 years before in Anatolia.

CLOTHING PAINTING

• This is a tablecloth which is painted with special cloth paint using the traditional Turkish patterns.These patterns are Ottoman Sultan Tughra which is a signature of the Sultan.

HEADSCARF

• These headscarves are souvenirs embellished with traditional Turkish embroidery. Traditionally this kind of headscarves are worn by women at home. Each embroidery has its special meaning and story.

BOOTEES

• These are bootes which is produced by knitting.The pattorns on those are traditional Turkish patterns.

CAFTAN

• This is called ‘caftan’which was worn by Ottoman Sultans.Nowadays the caftan figure is used on lots of souvenirs.This table is made of tinfoil by drawing Otoman figures on it and it is stabilized with silicon

CERAMIC

• Turkish tile has been widely used for interior design and in mosques.Tile is manufactured piece of hard-wearing material,such as ceramic and stone.The surface of the tile is painted with a drawing pen. Finally it is varnished. The patterns on these tiles are traditional Turkish figures.
