2. Stand fast in the faith!Gal 5:1Phil 1:27b
- that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
1 Thes 3:82 Thes 2:15
- Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
6 Commands of Paul to the Christians at Corinth:
3. Quit you like men!1 Cor 14:20
- Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
Eph 4: 14- That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
6 Commands of Paul to the Christians at Corinth:
4. Be Strong!Luke 1:80Eph 3:16
- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
6 Commands of Paul to the Christians at Corinth:
5. Do all things in love
1 Cor 13:4-74 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
6 Commands of Paul to the Christians at Corinth:
6. Submit to all true workersv15-16
6 Commands of Paul to the Christians at Corinth:
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:10-18
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Ephesians 6:10-18
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
