Main aims of Marshals Role in Crowd Safety Management• Have a good knowledge of the public facilities available at the

venue.• Handle enquiries from customers and members of the public and

direct them as appropriate. • Be aware of Emergency Codes and Procedures• Know the Emergency Zones and Assembly Areas• Senior Marshals are to ensure all Members of their team are

aware of their roles.• Co-operate fully with event management and emergency

services should an incident occur at the venue.• Assist with Evacuation of Grandstands and Course if required.• Provide accurate and timely information on any suspicious

activity or breach of security to his/her supervisor.• Report to Event Control any H&S incidents, defects or hazardous

conditions to his/her supervisor.• Report to Event Control any incursions onto the Course or Greens.

Emergency Zones

For ease of operation the golf course has been divided into Zones, facilitating either total or partial evacuation. The extent of the evacuation will be directly proportional to the threat posed to guests and/or visitors. The Zones are:• Zone A – Tented Village• Zone B – Driving Range• Zone C – 16th and 17th Holes• Zone D – 13th, 14th and 15th Holes• Zone E – 10th Fairway and Green, 11th and 18th Holes• Zone F – 8th Fairway and Green, 12th Hole• Zone G – 4th, 6th and 7th Holes & 5th Tee• Zone H – 1st Fairway and Green, 2nd Tee & 9th Hole• Zone I – 2nd Fairway and Green, 3rd Hole, 5th Fairway and Green• Zone X – RCD Club House, Mourne Club House, Players Car Park, 1st and

10th Tees

Assembly Zones

Designated Initial Public Assembly Zones prior to full evacuation :

•Zone A – Driving Range• Zone B – 17th Tee• Zone C - Adjacent to 12th Fairway• Zone D - Adjacent to 12th Fairway• Zone E - Driving Range• Zone F – Adjacent to 17th Tee• Zone G - Adjacent to 12th Fairway• Zone H - Adjacent to 18th Fairway• Zone I – Adjacent to 1st Fairway• Zone X – Driving Range

• This code will be followed by the number ‘one’ should the missing child have any learning difficulties or known medical illness.
