Completing this portfolio has shown me both my strengths and weaknesses, not only on my assignments and responses but also in this course as a whole. I allowed myself to incorporate ideas and views from not only my teacher but my peers as well. Being able to reflect on my work and critique my faults. Having the ability to learn quickly and effectively throughout the semester has better my work in and out of class. Throughout this course I had fallen to the bad habits of a college student, unable to keep up with work and so forth. I continuously left if not all most of the assignments and responses last minute. Another focus I must work on was that I was easily distracted and in turn lost focus on what was needed within the portfolio. Some major problems I encountered along the way were figuring out how to incorporate things that were needed to complete responses. This in turn made it difficult to thoroughly and effectively. As you navigate through my portfolio, you may have noticed how each individual assignment has made an impact on my reading and writing skills. I had the privilege to work with some of the greatest people and in so becoming great friends in and out of class. In the process of making this portfolio I had learned to annotate not only my work but other authors as well. This encouraged me to see things in a new perspective and to view things out of the box. In the beginning I found it difficult to understanding how to go above and beyond what was needed or how to make it pop out to the viewers. But as we went along we had the benefit to gather information from not only the instructor but from peers and authors. So as you begin to navigate through my portfolio I want to briefly explain how everything has been laid out. My homepage includes pictures and a brief description about myself. The pictures are from a Maroon 5 concert I went to in 2013. The pictures have a significant meaning to this portfolio because my assignments one and two were based on Maroon 5. As we move along my next tab includes my homework responses. These responses were assigned based on work completed in and out of class. The responses also include a short description of their purpose and how it relates or helped me with other major assignments and responses. The following tab includes all the work I completed for Assignment 1: commented draft, revised paper, and my final draft. Beside these assignments I included the purpose of the assignment, how the workshop was helpful, etc. My work for Assignment 2 follows, which includes both my commented draft and my revised draft. The response for this assignment goes through my thoughts on my final revised paper, the process of writing it and the successfulness of the peer workshop. My last tab includes my Assignment 3. Here I included the finalized video and my response on this assignment. Overall, my layout is very simple and easy to navigate through.
