Job Title: Portfolio Manager – Commercial Banking
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, this position’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of portfolio
management as relates to assigned portfolio loans together with the cross selling of Bank products and
services. Additional responsibilities will include the facilitating of comprehensive credit analysis that
evaluates the existing facilities in the portfolio. The loan portfolio shall consist of all types of
commercial loans including but not limited to lines of credit, term notes, permanent owner occupied
mortgages, and/ or commercial construction.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Performs portfolio management responsibilities including:
• Facilitates the preparation of credit underwriting and analysis of existing loans in connection
with renewals and modifications. Assist in facilitating closing of transactions.
• Assist lenders in managing past due and maturing loans.
• Recommends and models appropriate loan structure for new and existing loan relationships
• Prepares periodic reviews of existing loans to assess credit quality and covenant compliance
• Receive and review periodic reporting provided by customers to ensure borrowing base
availability as well as to monitor performance
• Assists in the preparation of PLAP reports for the portfolio, when necessary.
• Solicits existing portfolio customers in an effort to increase and retain volume and cross sell
Bank products and services. Promotes customer relations.
• Assists Lenders to ensure customers are being serviced as needed
• Actively participates in research, preparation and execution of customer calls
Performs relationship management responsibilities on own portfolio of accounts including:
• Portfolio management duties listed above as well as transaction negotiations for renewals,
modifications, and new facilities for customers in his/her portfolio.
• Promotes and monitors customer relationship and growth

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES (continued):
Prepares Annual Reviews on existing customers, to include but not limited to:
• Detailed analysis of financial statements.
• Detailed collateral analysis.
• Detailed analysis of debt service and covenant compliance
• Review of credit risk rating.
• Borrower and Guarantor analysis.
• Assessment of lending risks, clearly identifying offsetting mitigates and summarizing
recommendations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Financial analysis experience and credit training
• 3 or more years of related experience required within financial industry
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Experience with financial analysis programs and discounted cash flow models
• Good interpersonal skills, team oriented, and strong customer service skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Bank/office environment; secure, comfortable working conditions. May be required to travel to/from
branch offices, corporate office, and other facilities.
