Legal and Compliance Milestones
The following milestones were achieved to date:
•Host City By-Lawso By-Laws were approved by Council in November 2008 and sent for
promulgation and publication in the government gazette in December 2008•Legal Compliance
o Ongoing provision of guidance to cluster managers, in interpreting and understanding the Host City’s role in terms of the Host City Agreement , its addendums and or guidelines
o Scheduled workshops with different cluster to discuss in detail roles and responsibilities matrices for different clusters
•Environmental managemento We await the national launch of the Green Goal Logo and programme by the
LOC together with DEAT so that we can roll out our awareness campaign in this regard
o The City has intensified it’s environmental protection through it’s participation in the Green Goal programme and the Environmental Management score card has been developed in this regard.

A template has been designed (60 m) by CoT Environment for costing and adjustment budget purposes which include:
• Street furniture• Street lighting and lighting requirements for CCTV Cameras• Paving• IconsInteraction with CoT Waste Management indicated the following requirements:• Pole Bins• Swivel bins• Bulk Bins/Skips• A presentation was arranged with Environmental Solutions a Company specializing in
meeting Green Goal objectives.
IT & T Smart City
Smart City
•Smart City project is a combination of multiple projects that are designed to improve service delivery by City of Tshwane to its citizens
•The project is under assessment from the new Project Manager

Status• There are currently 68 cameras in the CoT CBD, which are leased • Expansion of CCTV to be concluded on current network for additional 68 cameras• The objective is to have surveillance at the following areas :

New media consists of the following projects:
