THE MADA CLOUD
My first big project in which my design, out of the class of 20, was chosen to be made for the University's end of year exhibition. We were given a brief in which we had to design an exhibition in which the content revolved around the proposed 2046 Rowville train line. Students of varying design faculties would have their content on display and it was our job to find a way to display them, as well as bring them together.
Through my design I had designed a floating cloud of information, as I would call it a field of dispersed information. In which everything is hanging, and there was no specific path to walk, but it allowed people to go inbetween works, flowing freely. It was all about relating the content to the intangible future, that was succeptible to change, thus the hanging displays give the idea of the impossible, the forever changing. Just like the forever changing nature of a cloud.

AZEOTROPEAZEOTROPE
A first year project I worked on, in which rope had to be used in a way that it would 'inhabit a space. Using rope I created knits that would 'melt' off the given space, looking as if the space is falling apart and melting, and then dematerialise.
The concept was all about the installatin inhabiting and the space and taking over the users, somewhat dictating the user's actions from the drops in the rope canopy.
DEVELOPMENTTo the left are some development photos of the Azeotrope project.
2 Are initial sketches. The next ones are the make of the installation.
The final 2 are the final pieces of the project being set up.
ARCANE C
AVE
Arcane Cave is a project in which we had to create a place in which people could tell secrets. My concept was by creating such an obvious shelter, that it would be unexpected to be such a secret holder. It would also act as a landmark in which people would refer to upon meet ups.
Making test models I played with folds, creating interesting textures.
Such an obvious and casual space, it acts as a deceptor upon bypassers.

This project was all about making a transformative market stall for Victoria Market. We were given a shop type to work with. Mine was sunglasses.
The conept behind my market stall, was that its a wheely stall that is unfolded by panels made of tinted coloured polycarbonate, which is the materials in which sunglasses lenses are made. So when in the right light, sun can shine through these panels, illuminating the stall as well as casting shadows of varying colours, changing one's vision. Just as sunglasses do.
ROSE STREET DOG MARKET
ROSE STREET DOG MARKET
This project was re-inventing an existing market place; The Rose Street Artist Market. We had to re-invent it so that it would attract a certain user group, mine being; dog owners/walkers. What I needed to do was make my market an 'attractor' to dogs and dog owners. Through this I designed varying attractors within the space, that enabled dogs to become a 'conversation starter' allowing networks to form between individuals. These interactions were very strong in my concept.
There was a cafe for dog owners, in which dog owners were contained within a glass 'fish tank' to dine. This made the dog owners the inferior to the dogs, it's as if the owners are on display for the dogs to observe, rather than the dogs being kept behind the confines of glass tanks. There's also a dog 'runway' which is masked by a perforated screen, in order to add mystery when viewers observe the dogs prance along. This would mainly appeal to dog owners who love dog shows, heavily influenced by 'The Best in Show'.
ZAHA HADID NORDPARK RHINO
MADE MOULIN ROUGE
This is part of my Advanced Rhino class at Uni. In which I had to recreate Zaha Hadid's Nordpark Station into Rhino. After that we were given a movie to study, and then convert this station to look as if it is a scene from the movie. My movie was Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge.
With this we also made a 30 second movie animation using Rhino 5.
