the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

To increase awareness among the students about the advances made

in the world of polymer engineering and to provide exposure to the

research taking place in the field.

Activities of PSA

Affinity and Confluence

Affinity and Confluence is a national level technical paper presentation competition

arranged by the PSA in the college campus since 2003. Various colleges from all over

the country participate in this event and is supported by the industry.

On the whole, PSA aims to expand the domain of its activities in the coming years

and possibly work in a tandem with the other polymer associations in the country.

Confluence aims at an interactive session between eminent industrialists,

academicians and students therefore enlightening the students with the latest

entrepreneurial trends

Affinity also taps upon its massive Alumni database to bridge the gap between the

past and the present aiming towards a brighter future

From Head of DepartmentAffinity & Confluence were started by Polymer Student Association. It helps them

hone the organizational skills. It is heartening to see students from different parts

of the country participating in the paper presentation competition. Faculty of

Polymer Engineering Department wishes them all the success.

A lecture was organized for the students of Second, Third and Final year students by

PSA which was guided by Dr. Vikas Nadkarni. An entrepreneur, eminent professor,

consultant, researcher with several patents to his name, he shared with the students

his several real life experiences in various fields. He imparted his knowledge and

answered every doubt and query put up by the students to their full satisfaction.

The 2 hour long session proved to be very beneficial to the students.

Guest Lecture by Dr. Nadkarni

PSA invites eminent personalities as speakers from various industries and research

organizations as a part of its regular activities. These lectures pertain to Polymer

Science and Technology, Management and Entrepreneurship. It also organizes

industrial visits regularly to various industries in the city which helps students

understand various industrial processes practically.
