JOB DESCRIPTION - ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

• To provide administrative and support service to the Town and Deputy Town Clerk

• To be the public interface and first point of contact for members of the Public contacting the Town Council and assist with any queries.

• To maintain the Chairman’s Civic Diary and invitations ensuring that s/he is aware of all functions and requirements.

• To assist in the organisation of all Civic and Community Events.

• To assist in arranging and facilitating Meetings

• To assist in the preparation of and distribute Agenda packs to Councillors

• To utilise various software to prepare and maintain correspondence, meeting information, databases and spreadsheets.

• To report public realm and other issues to Cheshire East Council and follow up and record the outcome of those reports

• To assist with maintaining and uploading the Council’s website in accordance with Council policy

• To keep noticeboards up to date.

• To manage stationery stock levels.

• To obtain quotes as and when requested for various items and or services

• To take part in the appraisal process and to identify and address Personal Development Targets, which may include the attendance of training courses.

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT Middlewich Town Council, is looking for full time Administration Assistant to work up to 37 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work during events. The successful candidate will be based at the Town Council Offices and carry out the tasks detailed in the detailed Job Description. Preferably, s/he will have previous experience in an administration based, public facing or local government role. The role will attract a salary based on NALC salary scale grade LC1 below substantive or substantive dependent upon qualifications and experience, SCP 5 to 9.
