• Our first priority at Plaza Vista School is to provide a safe learning environment for ALL students!
• Please read the Plaza Vista K-5 Code of Conduct which is on the Plaza Vista website.
• You and your child will be asked to verify that you have read the rules and discussed the importance of following them with your child. Please comply with all forms in the “First Day Packet” online.
Student Expectations
Adults on CampusAdults on CampusParents are welcome at Plaza Vista School! For the protection of the children, ALL adults
(volunteers or visitors) on campus must sign in at the school office, unless they are dropping off or picking up students.
For School Safety: ALL adults must get a visitor or volunteer badge from the office and wear it while at school. Any parent without a name badge will be asked to return to the office to sign in.

The office is open from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Please sign in with the office and pick up a visitor or volunteer badge before visiting your child’s classroom.

AttendanceAttendanceAbsences: If your child will NOT be at school for any
reason, please call the attendance line at 949-936-6951 before 9:00am to report your student’s absence.
Late Arrivals: When your child is LATE, please take him/her directly to the office and sign in. They will be marked Tardy and given a Tardy slip to take to class.
Student Release: Students will ONLY be released to people designated on the emergency card. Siblings
picking up students must be at least 18 years old.

Kinder Meet and Kinder Meet and GreetGreetIn June, we will be meeting incoming Kindergarten students. You will receive a notification about scheduling your appointment in the coming months.
Our Goals: The students will meet the teachers and teachers will gain important information that allow us to create balanced classes and effective learning environments. Your child’s class placement will be online 1-2 days before the start of school. (Plaza Vista website)

During the first month of school, we schedule a BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT for Kindergarten. We present the curriculum, policies and procedures for the year. (This is a night for parents only. )
• Approximately one month after school begins, there will be Fall Conferences. Parents are invited to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss academic and behavior goals. They will also share a progress update.
