Mayor reporte en pacientes en el subgrupo ticagrelor que clopidogrel . (13.8% vs. 7.8% p<0.001)
* La mayoría de los episodios tuvieron una duración menor a una semana. * La disnea asociada a ticagrelor fue generalmente leve a moderada.
La mayor frecuencia de disnea con ticagrelor no se ha asociado con ningún efecto deletéreo en la función cardíaca o pulmonar comparado con clopidogrel.

El estudio PLATO demuestra que el tratamiento con ticagrelor, al compararlo con clopidogrel,
reduce la incidencia de muerte de causa vascular, infarto de miocardio o accidente cerebrovascular en pacientes con síndromes coronarios agudos.
Los beneficios de ticagrelor se obtuvieron en pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo con o sin
elevación del segmento ST, sin aumento de las tasas de hemorragias mayores, y fueron
independientes de la estrategia seguida en el tratamiento del SCA, invasiva o conservadora.
