Begin on 9x12 trace with pencil.

Use the 1/2" isometric grid with a 4"x4" plan boundary provided as an underlay.

First, design a composition within the 4"x4" plan boundary that includes:

a rectilinear figurea triangular figurea cylindrical figure

Use trace to sketch several different compositions before settling on the best one to develop.

When you found a satisfactory composition, draft your plan in iso utilizing line weights.

First Draft due Tues Sept 15, start of class, Final draft due Sept 17

All four isometric exercises, redrafted for good craft if necessary, due Sept 17, end of class

Begin a test draft of the matching isometric. You will have to make decisions about the heights of figures to complete the isometric.
