I am what I call a NewZealand snowbird.  Forthe last seven years Ihave been spending ourwinter months, January,February and March inNew Zealand…It is sum-mer there.

Four years ago I transferred from Auck-land to the Far North.  I now go to a towncalled Ahipara with a population of 500.The big town is called Kaitaia with a popu-lation of 5,000.

Most people think that I go to New Zea-land to get away from the cold of NewYork/New Jersey.  That is not the case.  Iactually like the cold and the fresh fallensnow in particular.  When friends send pic-tures of Weehawken in the snow I imaginemyself out in it…that is, while it is stillpristine, before it turns to slush.

What I love mostabout my time inNew Zealand and theFar North in particu-lar is immersing my-self in tribal culture.I feel that it hassomething very valu-able to teach me.

I used to keep myself busy by decoratingmy little house from OP shops.  OP standsfor opportunity and they are New Zea-land’s versions of thrift shops.  I love thetreasure hunt and acquiring retro, a la1950’s, décor.  I also used to make dinnerparties for my newfound friends;  extend-ing the invitation, planning the menu, shop-ping for the food, cooking, setting the tableand enjoying the company and the feast(Libra that I am).

This year was different.  I have becomeinvolved with the practice of T’ai Chi andso before I left for New Zealand I tried tofind people who were practicing in myarea.  I did a lot of research but could not

For a very long time Ihave considered myselfas having a social justiceministry. Ordained in1976 by Rev. EllenResch, I have beeninvolved in social justiceactivism eitherprofessionally orvoluntarily (sometimes

in both capacities on different issues at thesame time) throughout my entire life. Forme it represents a passion for, and acommitment to, justice based on an everdeepening spiritual foundation.

That foundation has guided my socialjustice activism into deeper work thatfocuses on reconciliation, healing andconflict avoidance. In order to provide aplatform for this kind of work I recentlyestablished the Sila Institute forCooperation and Development. Sila is theBuddhist term for ethics and the SilaInstitute is an organization under theumbrella of the Foundation for EconomicDemocracy, which I established overtwenty years ago as a non-profit entitywhich can accept grant funds fromfoundations. As a human rights attorneymy principal focus for the Sila Institute isthe design and implementation ofRestorative Justice programs within theadult criminal justice system in the UnitedStates. Concomitant with this is a focus onintroducing Restorative Justice programsinto the prison system, allowing inmates toengage with the victims of their misdeedsas a way to promote healing.

Restorative Justice is grounded intraditional indigenous practices and theeasiest comparison is to truth andreconciliation processes which were usedextensively in South Africa after thecollapse of apartheid and in Rwanda afterthe genocide there. Restorative Justiceprocesses that operate within the localjustice system typically bring an offenderinto a situation with the victim of the harmcommitted by him/her so that a healing can

take place. But “healing” has to beunderstood as a process that permitsdialogue between an offender and a victimand allows individual needs to beexpressed. That is essentially the core ofthe process and its objectives. Typically inthe US justice system, in both the federaland state court systems adefendant/perpetrator of a crime is viewedas having committed a harm against thestate, or “The People”. Thus, a criminallitigation is typically titled “The Peoplevs….”, and the name of a person orpersons, i.e. the defendant(s) is supplied. The actual victim of a crime is not part ofthe justice process, unless called as awitness for the prosecution. All too oftenvictims feel left out of the process, andindeed feel that their needs are ignored. Inmany ways it is a very cold system leavingvictims with very little opportunity tospeak about the injury that was committedto them and to express their needs or theirpain in the aftermath of that injury.

Restorative Justice takes a very differentapproach. It is compassion based andbrings the two sides together so that theoffender is given the opportunity to takeresponsibility for his/her actions bycoming face to face with the injured partywho is able to express how the harm donehas affected them. This meeting takesplace in a guided situation facilitated bytrained personnel who have no direct stakein the proceedings. The injured party caninclude not just the victim but alsostakeholders, such as family membersand/or community members who havebeen affected, directly or indirectly, by theharm as well. The goal is for the defendantto hear the victim and to acknowledgehis/her responsibility for the harmcommitted. At the same time, the victimsof the harm, whether an individual whohas been directly affected, or a broadergroup of stakeholders extending into alarger community who have been harmedby the offender’s actions as well, are giventhe opportunity to be heard. Thecompassion aspect is grounded in the

find a soul within 3 hours of Ahipara and so I spoke to my T’ai Chi teacher here in theStates and she encouraged me to teach.  She told me that it was the best way to learn andto grow.

My dear friend and neighbor Atarangi has a Maori Healing Clinic in Kaitaia and she of-fered to let me use her clinic for my classes.  And so I began.  I hung up fliers and had asign made and offered the public two classes a week; Tuesday mornings and Thursdayevenings.

Somebody put my flier on Facebook and I received a call from a local social serviceagency called Ngati Kahu.  That is the name of one of the Maori tribes.  They asked meif I would teach T’ai Chi to some of their clients with mental health issues.  Of course Iagreed.

After that I volunteered my services at a place calledSwitzer Home.  This is a facility for people who canno longer take care of themselves in their ownhomes.  And so I created a class of chair T’ai Chi forthese residents.  The people at Switzer Home thenasked me to work with their Alzheimer’s patients. And of course I readily agreed (Libra that I am).

So I went from meandering around Auckland andThe Far North to really having purpose, structure andgreat passion.  What a difference.  I was teaching 5classes a week and then spending hours on mycomputer doing research on how best to approacheach of them and their special needs.  And believeme they each had very special needs.

I am here to tell you it was a love fest.  The more I gave the more I got and the more Igot the more I gave.  Just like the T’ai Chi circle itself.

But most exciting has been this feeling that I have come full circle.  When I was a child,in the late 40’s and early 50’s, they would ask, “what do you want to be when you growup?”  Most little girls would say things like, “I want to be a princess or a ballerina.”  Notme.  I said, with great conviction, “I want to be a kindergarten teacher”.  The adultsthought that that was adorable.  I even made my parents give me piano lessons because Iknew that kindergarten teachers had to play the piano for the children to sing along.  Ofcourse I didn’t know it then but I had been a kindergarten teacher in my last life inAustria.

Somehow, in this life, I got sidetracked and instead of becoming a kindergarten teacher Ibecame an actress and then an office administrator, and now I am a retiree.  With theseexperiences I was able to put it all together and teach using my acting skills to enhancethe proceedings.

This coming full circle has been a pure joy.  The only sadness has been my leaving.  Buthopefully I will go back next January and the love fest will continue.

victim coming to the process not to exactrevenge or punishment from the offender.Entering into the process with thatobjective is counter to the goals of theprocess. Primarily, restorative justiceprocesses aim towards addressing harms, addressing causes and seeing offenders asvictims as well. Ideally, the overall goal isto “make things right’, and the interpretationof how that happens is specific to the harmcommitted and the parties involved.

I first learned about Restorative Justice whilestudying for my LL.M. (Masters of Law,after the J.D.) in Indigenous Law and Policyat the University of Arizona. One of myclasses was a course on Navajo Peace Courts, which is one example of indigenoustraditions related to Restorative Justice. The

process is also verypopular in NewZealand, based onMaori culturalnorms. Iencountered itfurther morerecently whilestudying for my

Master of Divinity degree at the ClaremontSchool of Theology. I took a seminar inRestorative Justice and was totally hookedafter that. I’m now consulting with theoffice of the Governor of North Dakota toset up a pilot project within one of the state’sjudicial districts with a parallel pilot projectin one of the state’s tribal courts as well.

I find that this work on Restorative Justicehas brought me into a much more directmerging of my spiritual practices and mysocial justice/human rights work because ofthe compassion and healing based roots ofRestorative Justice. There is a book titled “The Spiritual Roots of Restorative Justice”edited by Michal Hadley which providesinsights into the spiritual side of this work.Another basic text is “The Little Book ofRestorative Justice” by Howard Zehr, whichis also considered a basic “text” on thesubject. If you’re interested in knowingmore both of those books would be goodplaces to start.

As ministers of Spiritual Science, we align with Universal Lawand follow the examples of Enlightened Ones throughout theages. Yet we live in a world divided. We feel the pain ofseparation among many of our sisters and brothers. At suchtimes it is important to remember who we are and our capacityas healers and way-showers to provide an alternate approach towelcome the Great Turning that is here. We are here to harnessthe amazing vibrational energies seeding the planet and assistthe coming of this new world order of Aquarian dimension and

magnitude. We are visionaries and guides to aid the spiritual unfoldment andupliftment of all. Powerful forces of love abide in us waiting to be nourished andmultiplied.

In her book, A Return to Love: Reflections of the Principles of “A Course inMiracles,” Marianne Williamson proclaims “Our deepest fear is not that we areinadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.” Suppose we decided to open to that lightrather than shrink from it?

First, we’d decide to dream big. Really big! We’d begin by dropping the endlessself-talk about our inadequacy, doubt, unworthiness and guilt. Dreams are thepathways along which miracles find expression. Creating the life of our dreamsmeans opening to possibility, to wonder and joyful living moment by moment. Themagic of choice is ever with us. In any given moment we choose whether to behappy or sad, angry or at peace, jealous or generous. Since everyone has thiscapacity, one wonders why we choose to be negative!

When something difficult or painful happens, we can look for the insight or gemthat is invariably tucked into the experience. Perhaps we come to view theexperience in a new light, learn the value of hind sight, or gain a new friend or skillset we didn’t know we had. We come to see every adventure as a tool for learningand gratitude.

Our spiritual nature is so much more than we imagine! How often might we lookfor the Beloved in the faces of those we meet in the course of our day. The morethis happens, the more the face of the Beloved shines through us! Perhaps thestranger senses something in us that is safe and welcoming, something that saysyou are no longer a stranger among us. Love is like that. It is what we yearn for. Itis who we are.

It is an honor to remind one another that we are radiant, joyful, powerful beings oflight. No one is excluded. The more we draw forth the spark of divine unfoldmentin others, the more we tap the divine essence in ourselves. Every life experience, every person comes to us for a reason. May we welcome them all, for they aredesigned to let love bloom. May our travels take us far and wide. May we growmore at peace as the uniquely Divine She-roes and Heroes that we are and werealways meant to be.

Heaven Callsby Saka

The wall that is within the mind is built with ourinner thoughts, encompassing our spirit.

Surrounding all the dark thoughts, adding mortars of feelings, and making the foundation of your mind prisoner

where the ego can reign.

Heaven calls to you beyond the wall in a faint voice, beneath the egos screams,

but the voice of heaven is sweet calling you, reminding you of home.

The light of love reaches past all to find your spiritand with every light thought within your mind

tears down the walls of sadness and painsetting your spirit free.

Astrological Insights By Rev. Mary Gemming, Ph.D.

Esoteric AstrologyBy Rev. Mary Gemming, Ph.D.

from the Cosmic Center of Spiritual Light

How many of you rememberthe 1970s when the popularityof Astrology was at its peak?Well, today that has lessened abit. When my husband and Imoved to South Carolina inthe early 2000s, I realizedthat certain subjects weretaboo in that state, such as

astrology, tai chi and yoga. According to the Baptist teachingsand similar religions in South Carolina, these subjects arelabeled “the work of the devil.”

It seems sad that these spiritual tools are not recognized asspringboards that can lead to enlightenment. Instead, they areput down as detriments by those who do not have theunderstanding of what they truly are. We are in an age wherewe have these tools at our disposal to help us on the path tospiritual progress.

In The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch, we are toldthat there is a special plan for humanity to be transformed, torise to a higher universe, to rise to a higher consciousness inour bodies of Light. In Key 106, we are told that the twelvesigns of the Zodiac are much more than most realize. Thetwelve signs of the Zodiac are referred to as the Mazzaroth, the12 threshold controls of the Zodiac used by the Brotherhood ofLight. The Brotherhood of Light is composed of the GreatWhite Brotherhood, a threshold command in charge ofrenewing creation, and it has the responsibility of preparing thephysical and spiritual civilizations for the new Jerusalem.

Alice Bailey, who was instructed by Ascended Master DjwalKul to write several books to enlighten humanity, gave a lot ofinformation on how important astrology is in our spiritualunfoldment. She wrote that the knowledge of astrology wasnecessary to pass the initiations leading to the Ascension.

Astrology is a very complex subject and takes a lot of time andstudy. It could take a lifetime of constant study to learneverything there is to know about astrology. This could be whymany don’t bother to get too deeply into it. But we who havefelt the challenge to do so receive many benefits that aid us inour spiritual quest. To quote the American College Dictionary,

“Astrology is a study or science which assumes andprofesses to interpret the influence of heavenly bodies onhuman affairs…formerly practical astronomy, the earliestform of the science.” Thus, it is more than just a predictivetool as some individuals view it to be.

I would like to give you a more esoteric way of looking atit. In my book, Mystical Secrets of the Stars, I haveexplained some basics of astrology, while offering food forthose who hunger for higher spiritual knowledge, such asthe teachings of Ancient Wisdom. In this book I outlinedthe twelve signs of the Zodiac, combining them with theteachings of Ancient Wisdom, the Ascended MasterTeachings, the Kabballah, as well as Egyptian teachings.Did you know that ancient Egyptian initiations werederived from the teachings of the Hebrew Kabballah? Thiswas just one of the discoveries I found in my research.

In Norse Mythology it is said that rainbows are a bridgebetween heaven and earth and the gods. And if we considerthe Seven Rays that emanate from God in the Great CentralSun to the earth, we may remember that each ray has aGod-quality or virtue. The same applies to the twelvesigns of the Zodiac. In the teachings of the AscendedMasters, we learn that each constellation radiates a God-quality during a 30-day period.

Let me take you on a tour of the 12 Temples or CosmicHouses as given in the book, Law of Life and Teachings ofDivine Beings by A.D.K. Luk.

As the planet Earth passes around the Sun, the power ofeach one of the 12 virtues becomes intensified for a periodof 30 days, and nourishes the inner centers of theindividual.

In the House of Aries we have the sylphs, the airelementals, the devas of air and the special templesreminding us of the castles in fairy tales. The air elementprovides the substance, energy and purification of the airthat you breathe. The Cosmic Virtue is Wisdom. TheGreat Beings, the Directors of the air element, are Ariesand Thor.

The House of Taurus is the realm of Mighty Hercules.Hercules is one of the Seven Elohim, one of the SevenBeings who stand before the throne of God to assist increation. The Virtue is Strength.(Cont’d on page 7)

Astrological Insights By Rev. Mary Gemming, Ph.D.

Pillars of Light Newsletter Page 7

The House of Gemini is the House of the Cosmic Christ, the focus of Love. This represents the Christ in humanity, working throughhuman personality. As Gemini is dual, we are dual, both human and divine. Here we acknowledge the Divine image in flesh. TheVirtue is Divine Love.

The House of Cancer. This is the focus of Elohim Vista, also known as Cyclopea, the symbol of the eye on the Great Pyramid, and theAll-Seeing Eye of God to our Earth. The Virtue is Concentration.

The House of Leo. That which has been called Leo, the Lion, is the House of Apollo, the Greek Sun God of Light. With the qualitiesof a spiritually-free being, he brings royalty and dignity to the scene of life. The Sun is the ruler of Leo. It represents the immortalspirit of God in man on the earth. The Virtue is Confidence.

The House of Virgo represents the Virtue of Purity. Virgo is the Goddess of Earth, the Cosmic Being who brought the pure whiteradiating substance of quartz to the earth when it was pure. The Directors of the earth element are Virgo and Pelleur. The earthelementals are gnomes.

The House of Libra is the focus of the Goddess of Liberty, represented in the Statue of Liberty given to us from France. Here we havethe Virtue of Freedom. Our Lady Liberty is a beacon of light in the New York Harbor.

The House of Scorpio. This House is the focus of Mighty Victory. He is a great Cosmic Being who works with those who areseeking higher teachings. All of His powers and the momentum of victorious accomplishments through the centuries radiate throughHim. And so the Virtue for Scorpio is Victory.

The House of Sagittarius. Here lives Zarathustra, the spirit of fire, as well as the salamanders, the fire elementals. There has beenmore than one zarathustra, representing this great fire being. The radiation and powers of the Zarathustras has been shown through thehistory of Earth from the Atlantean and Lemurian ages back to the beginning of time. The Directors of the Fire element are Heliosand Vesta. The Virtue is Enthusiasm.

The House of Capricorn. Going back to Greek Mythology, Minerva has been called Capricorn. Mighty forces and elements areflowing through the earth during this period when Minerva’s outpouring can be absorbed by receptive consciousness. The Virtue isPerception.

The House of Aquarius was called the house of “Aquaria” in the Ascended Master Teachings. The Virtue is Progress. The AscendedMaster who connects us to the higher forces of life for the Aquarian Age is Saint Germain. In the New Age there is new stimulationof spiritual interest within the consciousness of humanity.

The House of Pisces is the focus of Neptune and the purity of the water element. The water elementals, the undines, reside here. Thepurifying waters of Neptune radiate throughout the Earth at this 30-day period of Pisces. Neptune and Lunara are the Directors of thewater element. The Virtue is Devotion.

As you pass month to month through these twelve signs or houses, you are passing through the virtues which are radiated to our ownbodies. These virtues are provided by our conscious invocation to the Great Central Sun, the Sun beyond the Sun, the throne of ourCreator. You can avail yourself through your own magnetic thought of the blessings of that specific stream of energy which playsupon the earth and through your vehicles.

Tribute to Reverend Eirene LicataBy Rev. Su Sabah Nissan

Reverend Eirene Licata passed into the light March 10, 2018.

She studied with Reverend Ellen Resch and for more than 30 years was the treasurerof TBRL [The Temple of Buddhist Research and Learning] the organization thatReverend Resch created to help further her students’ studies in soul growth.

Eirene was a lively and fun loving person. She led a varied and interesting life. In heryounger years--she was a professional dancer and was one of the original Twisters withChubby Checker at the famed Peppermint Lounge in New York City.

She was able to apply the joy she felt as a dancer to her everyday life and often itcarried over in her interactions with her friends.

She was a talented hair stylist and kept her license to practice as an independent artistcurrent.

For a while she worked at the office of Haagen Dazs as a bookkeeper. It was a verypleasant environment to work in, especially at the end of the work week. In additionto her salary, her employer would give her a sleeve of Haagen Dazs ice cream to takehome!

She was the office manager for the New York City District Attorney, and years later, head bookkeeper for a real estate company. Shewas aware of being fair to people and when any of the maintenance workers for the real estate’s building she worked in had an issueshe would always give moral support to the workers in their attempts to resolve whatever problem existed.

Reverend Licata obtained a college degree from Ramapo College.

She was an ordained minister in the Spiritual Science Church and an avid student of astrology and the spiritual Tarot.

She loved to travel and went to India with Reverend Resch and friends from TBRL. These trips became teachings of life, principle, andrealization.

For more than 20 years, along with good friend Ana Lucca, Reverend Licata was a consummate caregiver to her mother, Clare, andfather, Paul.

She tended to the feral cats that would come to the back door of her house. It was as if the feline word was out: go to that nice lady’shouse and she’ll feed you. No strings attached.

Underneath it all, there was a strong spirituality that rang true in every aspect of her life. It seemed as if her soul touched upon her pastlifetime experiences in a positive way, sometimes though things were not so easy, and she worked hard to understand and resolve themthe best way she knew how.

She was generous in her devotion to helping others.

Independently she supported the Nechung Monastery in Dharamsala India and the St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, SouthDakota, educational settings dedicated to the learning and preservation of the Tibetan and Native American cultures she so admired.

Reverend Licata, strong minded and fierce in her spiritual beliefs, practiced oftentimes with words of love and compassion.

Amen.

By A. D. K. Luk(Selected by Rev. Jay Quinn)

HILARION

Hilarion was a priest in the Temple ofTruth on Atlantis and He with a grouptook the Flame of Truth and somedocuments to Greece. They arrived justshortly before the continent sank, therebypreserving that Flame for the Earth. Heestablished the Focus of Truth there. Laterthe Oracles of Delphi were establishedand the initiates were directed by thatFlame of Truth for hundreds of years.Great Truth came forth during that time. Then there came into the Temple some

lifestreams not so pure arid selfless but who yielded to otherforces and could be bought. The people had faith in the DelphicOrder because of the past and so fell prey to the wrong actions ofthe priests. It reached a point where the Masters had to withdrawand could no longer use it as a channel for giving forth wisdom. What is known about it in the outer world is from this phase ofaction of the Order.

He was Saul of Tarsus in Bible time and later known as SaintPaul, the Apostle. He was born of Jewish parents about thebeginning of the Christian era, and was well versed in theScriptures. His set beliefs as to how the Messiah should comecaused Him to miss seeing Jesus while on Earth. Soon after Jesuswas Ascended He appeared to him while nearing Damascus on ajourney undertaken for the purpose of searching out the disciplesin that place and bringing them as prisoners to Jerusalem. In thatvisitation much of his arrogance and pride were consumed, hewas convinced of the sinfulness of the course he was pursuing. His life was completely changed and he became a devout followerof Jesus' teachings.

He was blind after that for about three years due to karma, notonly his own but the mass karma of lack of perception, for whichhe became a focus during that time of the change of cycles—thetransference from the Fifth to the Sixth Ray. After a time hejoined the colony of Mother Mary and the disciples. He sufferedmuch remorse for having missed Jesus (while here) and for hisactions against some of Jesus' followers.

He had received a commission from the Master Jesus to preachHis teachings among the nations of the Earth. He was inretirement in Arabia for about three years before he started tocarry out his new mission. It was due to him for the greater part,

that the first distinctive mission to the Gentiles was undertaken. Itis said that after his second arrest and trial he was martyred, andthat was not later than the year 65 A. D.

It is said he was Iamblichus, born in Coele-Syria of an illustriousfamily. He studied in Rome, and later taught in Syria. Proclusmentions his works on Pythagorean philosophy.

Hilarion was born at Tabatha, near Gaza, Palestine (about 290-372; date from an encyclopedia) . He was educated at Alexandriaand is known as the reputed founder of Monasticism in Palestine. He lived as a hermit in the desert and after twenty years he had agreat number of disciples and initiators under his spiritualdirection. He departed from this earthly plane at a place amongsome almost inaccessible rocks and evidently ascended into Hiseternal Freedom. He was well known for his power of healing. Hewas commemorated by the Roman Church October twenty-first.

Hilarion is now Chohan of the Fifth Ray, the scientific ray. Hishair is golden and His eyes are blue. "Onward Christian Soldiers"can be played to attune to Him.

He is particularly interested in assisting the agnostics, skeptics, atheists, spiritually disappointed and disillusioned ones, in innerrealms as well as those in embodiment. He has great persuasivepower and is very successful in instilling, again, faith in Godinto them. Hilarion and His Brotherhood also assist lifestreams atthe time of passing and will take them to the Temple of Truth; They especially assist the non-believers in the here-after. He willassist anyone to know Truth who desires it.

People that believe in vicarious atonement find out when theyhave passed on, and are on the other side, that it is not asrepresented. It is such experiences that disillusions people whoare sincerely seeking truth. When they are misled and becomedisappointed, that makes a record in the etheric body, andproduces unbelief and skepticism, thus they become agnostics. The Ascended Master Hilarion and the Brotherhood at Crete haveoffered to assist these people at inner levels. Another of Theirservices is to consecrate lifestreams of all seven rays who have avocation.

Hilarion especially enjoys working on research in the medicalprofession. Healing is one of His main activities.

LADY MASTER NADA

The word "Nada" means"the voice of the silence",and also a receding ofthe personality intonothingness, giving wayto the Christ Self.

Nada is a Messenger ofLord Meru and received training in His

Retreat. She is of the Third Ray.

She has helped bring many civilizations totheir height, even long before She wasascended. She worked with Saint Germainin that civilization seventy thousand yearsago and in many since. She was also onewho stood with Him when He first broughtforth this instruction.

Nada, on Atlantis abided in the Templewhich represented divine love, locatedwhere New Bedford, Massachusetts is now. They directed healing through love by useof light rays from that Temple to thosewho required it and could accept it, toanyone anywhere on Earth.

That Temple was patterned after a rose, each petal was a room. It still remains inthe ethers even to this day.

Nada, in her last embodiment on Earthreceived training in developing divine loveas a small child. She was the smallest andyoungest of a large and wealthy family, who were all talented except she whoseemed not to be. She felt her deficiencybut one night a beautiful lady in pinkappeared to her.

This Being taught her how to work withnature, the flowers and birds first, how topour out love, a ray of light from her heartto them to which they would respond. Thistraining of working with the rhythm ofnature went on for several years. Nadanoticed there would be a fragrance of roses

and music whenever the lovely Beingcame.

Then one day the great Being informed herthat Her name was Charity, and explainedhow she could render a service by pouringthe love from her heart to the hearts of theones in her family, while they slept, unbeknown to them. This way their talentswere nourished and expanded and theybecame a great blessing to mankind, through music, art and poetry. Thus shebecame a "selfless one".

Her sisters married and she was homealone, then one day the Being Charityinformed her that she was ready to enterinto the activities of a Retreat. That shewould have a visit by the Hierarch and thattheir association would cease. Then after atime Serapis Bey came and explained toher the requirements. That she would haveto sever all connections with her family, enter a branch of the Retreat, there passcertain initiations before entering theRetreat at Luxor, where she could renderservice to those there by assisting them torelease their own talents and fulfill theirdivine plan which was required beforeattaining the Ascension.

She went to this branch of the Retreat. Thetraining there was particularly aharmonizing of various small groups intowhich she was placed and who found itvery difficult to live together. She under-went some severe discipline. She had somevery difficult times trying to maintainharmony during this phase of training anddevelopment, with frictions and the varioushuman qualities that arose in their closeassociation. She finally mastered them, andalso learned that right within her own light, within and about her was everything thatshe required.

She was then admitted to the Retreat atLuxor where she rendered service forseveral centuries before she made theAscension, around twenty-seven hundredyears ago. She had assistance from theDivine Director in making the Ascension.

Her service is to amplify the good and thetalents in others; pouring love to the Flamein their hearts, magnetizing and drawingforth the divine plan of that life-stream.She will render that same service to thestudents now.

Nada has a certain cosmic authority for theincoming age.

Healing is one of Her actions or services tomankind. She is One of those Who directhealing to the mankind of Earth. She saidthat many people had physical ab-normalities in the functions of the body ofwhich they were not aware. She offered togive assistance to individuals in this wayas well as for bad habits, desires for wrongfood, drink, smoking, et cetera, who wouldcall to Her; the call gives Her permissionto correct the conditions. She will also giveassistance in legal matters.

She has a certain service in connectionwith precipitation for the student on thePath; and an action in directing themagnetic currents from the Central Sun.

We can call to Her to blanket theatmosphere with Her pink flame to preventfrost. When one is out in cold weather it ispossible to be enfolded in Her pink Flameand therefore not feel the cold.

Nada is a Member of the Karmic Boardand represents the Third Ray in that body. She has recently assumed the Chohanshipfor the Sixth Ray for the time being.

Nada is unusually small for an AscendedBeing; She is around five feet two inches. She has golden hair and blue eyes. Herkey-note is similar to "I Love You Only"from the "Chocolate Soldier". Her symbolis a pink rose.
