Fortimo LED Solar Linear Light Module systemsThe Fortimo LED Solar LLM systems consist of a LED module, 12/24V DC driver and cable designed for use in existing or new luminaires together with a heatsink. Though designed primarily for off-grid residential outdoor lighting applications, this reliable and upgradeable solution is also suitable for many professional indoor applications.

Fortimo phosphor technologyThe Fortimo LED module is equipped with Fortimo phosphor technology, representing a breakthrough in LED efficacy. The Fortimo driver is one of the most efficient on the market, enabling a system efficacy (LED module and driver) of up to 85 lm/W at 4500 K and a color rendering greater than 70, which is unique in the marketplace (this is comparable to a bare LED efficiency of 135 lm/W). A future-proof approachAs advances in bare LED efficacies are made, so they will be incorporated into the Fortimo LED solar module without any change to the dimensions, shape or lumen output of the system. This is a really future-proof approach which will enable luminaire manufacturers to plan ahead and to adapt and design new luminaire ranges for the coming years, bringing down the integral system cost of complete solar outdoor lighting systems.

Off-grid applicationsThe system is typically designed for outdoor off-grid applications where electricity from the grid is not available or is very unreliable. Typical applications include:• residential area’s• streetlighting• parks• sports• city centres• squares• security lighting.

The system can also be used indoors, thanks to the high quality of light it produces. In the future the range will also be extended to include Fortimo LED solar downlight systems.

Benefits The Fortimo LED Solar LLM system offers many benefits:• high reliability over a lifetime of 50,000 hours with

a high lumen maintenance of 90% at 35,000 hours at system level. Thermal and battery protection are included

• high level of efficiency thanks to its breakthrough efficacy of up to 85 lm/W at system level (comparable to 135 lm/W bare LED efficiency) and the Programmable Lumistep included

• a complete range of Fortimo LLM solar modules in 1800 and 3000 with 4500 lumen available later this year, 4000 K and Ra 70

• future-proof; the form factor of the modules is identical to that of the ‘standard’ LLM modules and will not change as LED technology progresses, enabling fast time-to-market, upgradeability and serviceability

• easy creation of uniform and rectangular light patterns• saves money and protects the environment, no CO2

and no energy bills.

Compliance and approvalsPhilips Fortimo LED Solar Linear Lighting systems comply with all the applicable legislation, such as RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). This means all components used are lead-free and soldered in a lead-free soldering process (EU directive 2002/95/EC).
