Rector General de UNIMINUTO Leónidas López Herrán es el Rector General del Sistema Universitario Minuto de Dios UNIMINUTO y actualmente Presidente del Fondo de Desarrollo de la Educación Superior FODESEP. Durante 15 años fue Rector de la Universidad de Ibagué, luego de lo cual se vinculó a UNIMINUTO como asesor de la Rectoría General del Padre Camilo Bernal Hadad. Desde hace cerca de un año fue designado como Rector General del Sistema Universitario Minuto de Dios. Graduado en Ingener{ia electrónica, Leonidas López ha realizado estudios de Entrenamiento Industrial en el Tachikawa Educational Center (Casio Computer Co.) de Tokyo, Japón, y en el Varta Battery A.G. en Ellwangen, Alemania. Su amplia experiencia gerencial se complementa con estudios en Producción, Tecnología y Alta Gerencia, llevados a cabo en Estados Unidos e Inglaterra. En el ámbito académico ha sido miembro de la Junta Directiva de agremiaciones de la educación Superior , como la Red Mutis, la Asociación Colombiana de Universidades, ASCUN, entre otras. Leónidas López Herrán is the President of the Minuto de Dios UNIMINUTO University System and is currently also the President of the Higher Education Development Fund, or FODESEP, for its Spanish acronym. For 15 years, he was President of Ibagué University, after this he joined UNIMINUTO as advisor for the Presidency of Father Camilo Bernal Hadad. About a year ago he was named President of the Minuto de Dios University System.

An electrical engineering graduate, Leonidas López has completed industrial training studies at the Tachikawa Educational Center (Casio Computer Co.) in Tokyo, Japan, and at the Varta Battery A.G. in Ellwangen, Germany. His wide managerial experience is complimented by production, technology and high management studies, carried out in the United States and England. In the academic arena, he has been a member of the Higher Education Institutions Board of Directors, like Red Mutis, the Colombian University Association, ASCUN, among others.
