the fingers from the oth ¬ I erwy Medical attention was sum- moned ¬ and the injured youngster was made as comfortable as possible but- will bear through his lifetime a re- membrance ¬ I of the act of his com- panion ¬ I From the story told by the boys it was evident that the child had maim ¬ ed his companion for lifetime acci- dentally ¬ and of course that ended it The Sanchez boy picked up the hatchet and was using it the report was when the other placed his hand- on the block where the hatchet was being used One finger was com- pletely ¬ i severed in one blow while the other one was so badly cut that it had to be amputated When he saw what ha had done the Sanchez boy was very much affected and wept I much He was free to tell just how it happened and his statement was en ¬ tirely
