Deer Pant On The Water

This illustration was inspired by the song ‘As the deer pants for the water.’ PlanetShakers City Chruch held an international t-shirt design competition. I submitted this design and emerged as a runner-up. The shirt was later printed for a conference in April 2010.

Shifted Perception

The artwork incorporates the idea of looking at things from a different perspective; a shift in perception. 3 dimensional text was the inspiration behind this concept, which is a play on words with regards to the title of this design.

Faith Mustard

The Bible mentions that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains and anything is possible. This vintage, old school mustard tin illustrates that what was written cen-turies ago has remained unchanged and it is still relevant today.

Its’ fine detail also provides a quirky tinge of humor to an otherwise reflective piece of artwork.

Planetshakers Generic Design 01

Planetshakers City Church is based in Melbourne, Australia. This is a design that will be printed on some of their conference t-shirts in 2012. It is an image of the earth lighted at the very bottom only, where Australia is.

I have also created a 3D illusion of a shifting earth which is a play on the church’s vision to shake the planet.

Dinkums Print & Design

These are promotional posters for print and the web. The idea behind it was to promote the company, saying that it has become more advanced than before. I’ve used the image of a “thumbs-up”, which ties in with the company logo, saying that the company provides the best services available.

The poster on the right has a photo of a young girl, representing the university congregation, throwing a paper aeroplane. The paper aeroplane flying high symbolises that the company is soaring to greater heights. The paper plane is to represent the fact that the company is a print store.

MAJESTY

PVBS Inspired Apparel is a local brand now selling online. I’ve worked with them for 1 year as their lead female designer. We have had our clothes promoted in conferences, on radio with Light FM and on television on the 7pm project with Hamish and Andy.

I have produced 3 designs in that year and have also aid in their sells and promotions in Singapore, Malaysia and Canada.

The design featured on the rght is one of their top sellers, Majesty. The lion is a majestic natural beauty. Beyond fierceness, it is awe-inspiring. The unconventional choice of colours here is a personal statement of my own.

ROAR

Roar is an illustration inspired by a verse in the Bible that talks about how we should not be ashamed of God but be proud of Him. The mohawk is a cultural emblem of ‘hip and happening’. Colours painted in a haphazard manner is symbolic of the raw energy unique to the youth of today, who often choose to break boundaries and defy convention in the search for a brighter future.

Illustration | PhotoshopClient: PVBS Inspired ApparelYear: 2010

ROAR is a personal favourite and is a design that has inspired many art-works later on iin my career.
