Mr. Nixon is and has been a practicing CA Attorney since 1981, is a Vietnam Vet, has a

BS in Physics, JD in Law, and is the author of “America-An Illusion Of Freedom”.

Mr. Nixon’s book and expertise is on the U.S. Constitution. He

discusses that commencing with the truism that all federal

government power has as its exclusive source the U.S. Constitution,

and conclusively that the inference is inescapable that the Supreme

Court ignores the text and history of the Constitution and instead

LINDA PHIPPS PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

What a fabulous event the National Federation of Republican Women held in Phoenix, Arizona this past weekend. There were 43 States represented, 1056 registered representatives and over 300 guests.

Carly Fiorina was the opening speaker and she WOWED the audience. She was the number one choice for Presidential candidate of the Straw Poll voters with 27% of the votes. Ted Cruz was the after-noon speaker on Saturday. His speech was excellent and he addressed many of the concerns the Republican Party is currently facing. He was second in the Straw Poll with 20% of the votes. Other interesting, but not surprising, statistic were that 51% of those voting were over 65 years old; 59% were very conservative; and 75% were concerned about multiple issues, i.e., Defense and Foreign Affairs, Econo-my, Jobs and Growth. There were video addresses from Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Jeb Bush. The Honorable Doug Ducey, Governor of Arizona, attend-ed as well as The Honorable Jeff Flake, Arizona U.S. Senator. Janet Huckabee

gave a rousing speech and there was so much more.

I highly recommend you attend a convention if you have the opportunity.

There are two opportunities coming up: October 23-25, 2015 CFRW Biennial Convention in Irvine, CA and November 13-14, 2015 CFRW Southern Division 46th Biennial Convention at Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel, Buena Park, CA. We have delegate space available for both events so if you are interested in attending, please contact me as soon as possible. There will be important votes to be cast at each con-vention.

It is great to be back from our summer hiatus and now the hard work begins. Change is in the air and our country is in need of leadership. Republican women can help! Just reach out and ask what you can do to be of service.

By working together, I trust we can achieve the results we desire.

Richard A. Nixon, Esq.

The improper imposition of the Court’s

will upon the people began, Dr. Nixon

shows, in 1803, in Marbury v.

Madison, when the ink was barely dry on

the Constitution. In this landmark case,

the Supreme Court announced that the

judicial branch had the power of judicial

review, or the power to declare acts or

statutes enacted by Congress to be in

violation of the Constitution and therefore

void. The Court had proclaimed itself

superior, not equal, to Congress. Congress

has yet to declare and enforce its equality.

These facts lead to the inescapable

conclusion that the Supreme Court fails to

honor the Constitution it purports to

properly interpret and instead rewrites

the Constitution.

If you have a speaker or issue you

would like me to explore for our

club, Please contact me.

Legislation Alert From the Election Integrity Project

Connie Curran 3rd VP CAMPAIGN/PRECINCT

LEGISLATION ALERT from ELECTION INTEGRITY PROJECT All people with CA driver's licenses or CA ID will be automatical-ly registered to vote unless they send in a card within a certain number of days requesting to opt out. (The bill does state that the ID with which they registered would have to be one which verified their citizenship, but....EIP OPPOSES this bill: *It would further bloat the already unmaintained voter rolls *Previously unregistered people would likely not to vote *It would greatly increase the number of mail ballot voters, which a 2005 presidential commission determined NOT to satis-fy five criteria for fair and honest elections ( #1 tool for voter fraud) *It would cause the voter turnout to plummet, which is the opposite of what proponents want to occur. Instead of turnout being calculated based on voters who choose to register and

are therefore more likely to be engaged in the process, it will be calculated based on ALL people doing business with the DMV. *This bill attempts to treat the symptom, not the illness. Voter turnout will increase when voters have reason to have more faith in the system and believe that their vote counts....This is NOT the way to do that!! It’s certainly too late to contact the representatives, but, folks can send their opposition to Governor Brown via his web-site. The bill can be found in the "Please Choose Your Subject:" drop down box!

Boo! Happy Halloween! Come take a walk down memory lane at our October 8th meeting. Don’t you just love that styles change and come and go and yet somehow vintage things are always in style? They are classy and classic. We are all going to supply our vintage items—clothing, jewelry, whatever?—for the sale, and then we are going to have a ball shopping and buying. This is a total 100% profit fund raiser for our club! What a deal! Call me, Marie Robinson at 818-888-5343, for pick up or delivery of your items. Our pricing team would like to have everything in advance to have time to price and set up and be ready when you come to shop and buy. Thanks so much for all your contributions! Then in honor of Halloween, which is of course a long standing, traditionally fun event, I will bring my adorable “Pampering Pump-kins”. Who are the pumpkins in your life that you want to pamper? Pampering Pumpkins are cute and fun and just $15 each. Plus, our club gets 15% of my profit. It’s a great system!

The scholarship committee is up and working to get the word out about our Scholarships. Applications are now available both

online and by pdf at www.whrwf.org/scholarship. So if you know anyone who has an eligible graduate, please encourage them to

visit our website. And remember that home schooled students are also eligible.

Obviously raising funds for the scholarship is essential to the continuation of the program, and we’ll be doing that on October 1st at

our first bingo event to be held at Victoria Wilson’s home (5004 Del Moreno Dr., Woodland Hills directions below)–from 1:00p to

3:00ish - $10.00 to play and please bring a small gift for the award winning table. Hope to see you there. Fun guaranteed for all!!

Our scholarship program is very important to the building of the future Republican Party and to returning America to the one envisioned and created by our founding fathers – in fact, it’s the one thing we can do to reach out to young and potential new party members. So please don’t forget our “Scholarship Angel” pins – a pin for every donation of $20.00 or more and a leg-up for a future Republican advocate! Thanks for your support.

It is no longer a simple task to sit down and watch or read the news. The lines between local and world news are blurred and gen-erally leave us with a feeling that it is somehow America's fault and/or responsibility to fix. For the past several decades America has been invaded by people who have no permission, no identification, no money and generally no skills to earn money. They arrive in our country with the idea that they have inalienable rights to healthcare, housing, education and legal status. And they do have. The 14th Amendment grants them the same legal rights as a legal citizen, born or naturalized in the United States. Once they are within our borders, they are entitled to "equal protection under the law." They are entitled to "due process" which is what has caused the continuing influx of these foreigners, as well as clogged our immigration system and caused it to grind to a halt. Now there is debate about whether children born here are immediate citizens. My opinion is that the 14th amendment wasn't written to protect people who enter our country illegally. Only the US and Canada grant birthright citizenship. Since 1981 eight western democracies have repealed birthright citizenship. Now we are being told that there is a "humanitarian crisis" caused by millions of Muslim "refugees" finding their way by land or sea to Europe. As Hungary builds walls to keep them out, and Sweden offers to locate them so far north there are more polar bears than people, Austria and Germany (of all places) welcome them. With their next breath the European countries tell us that we must take thousands of the "refugees" into the United States. To be a refugee according to US law, you must have been persecuted for your race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group or your political opinion. None of these applies to Syrian Muslims leaving Muslim Syria. It does apply to middle-eastern Christians who have been slaughtered, but we didn't take in any of those. America is the most generous nation on earth. Have a natural disaster? We send tons of food and supplies. Americans are always ready to load planes, trains and automobiles to get to the scene of whatever crisis has occurred anywhere in the world. The current "crisis" of middle-eastern people who have chosen to relocate in another country that is perhaps more generous, and can provide a nicer lifestyle, are not refugees by definition. They are not entitled to simply appear on our doorstep and immediately be granted immediate residency followed by citizenship. America is not responsible for their situation, nor are we responsible for their welfare. It should be noted that last year Obama admitted 280,000 Muslims from Syria and other Muslim countries. America has done and is doing enough.

Having a sense of belonging is a common experience. Belonging means acceptance as a member or part. Such a simple word for huge concept. A sense of belonging is a human need, just like the need for food and shelter. Feeling that you belong is most important in seeing value in life and in coping with intensely painful emotions. Some find belonging in a church, some with friends, some with family, and some on Twitter or other social media. Some see themselves as connected only to one or two people. Others believe and feel a connection to all people the world over, to humanity. A sense of belonging to a greater com-

munity improves your motivation, health, and happiness. Acceptance does not mean agreement. A way to build your own sense of belonging is to work on acceptance of others. To accept others and views that are not the same as yours may require that you open your thoughts to the idea that there is value in everyone's thinking. You can find truth in even the most difficult-to-understand even though you may not agree. Try saying yes to opportunities to be with others and then throw yourself in to whatever the activity is.

According to Wikipedia, “The Unruh Civil Rights Act is a piece of California legislation that specifically outlaws discrimination based on sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, dis-ability, medical condition, marital status, or sexual orientation.

This law applies to all businesses such as hotels and motels, res-taurants, theaters, hospitals, barber and beauty shops, housing accommodations, and retail establishments.”

This has been the law since 1959. But, it is OK to discriminate

against Christians that oppose same-sex marriage. It is OK to

black list donors to political campaigns. In California it is OK to

try to close down a business or get someone fired if they sup-

port a cause you do not like. But, if you hate Jews and Israel,

you are free to spew your venom at taxpayer expense at Cal

Berkeley or UC Irvine. If you are white wanting to be a director

of a anti-sexual assault commission on the Cal campus, you can

be thrown off for being the “wrong” color.

Hypocrisy and double standards in Sacramento did not start a

few years ago. It has been on going for close to sixty years.

California’s Unruh Act “provokes outrage”; it’s “invoked by the wrong people”

By Stephen Frank / California Political News And Views

In California there is one truth: government can never get enough money. On June 15 the confused governor announced a balanced budget. The next day he an-nounces a special session of the legislature to raise bil-lions in taxes—he “forgot” to add the cost of his de-sired expansion of Medi-Cal and the need to fix roads in the State. He wanted north of five billion dollars for both items he forgot to put in the budget—though he claimed the budget had a two billion surplus—but he REFUSES to use that money to pay for his desired ex-penditures.

1. “Even with the Proposition 30 taxes raising more

money than expected, California has only managed to provide a level of public school funding that ap-proaches the national average. Leave aside for the moment whether you think that California schools currently spend their money wisely, just consider

how it is possible that a wealthy and (relatively) high tax state has such trouble reaching the national average.

2. The major proposals for more revenue for infra-

structure would still leave a multi-billon dollar gap compared to what Caltrans says is needed to main-tain current infrastructure. Consider whether you consider our current infrastructure adequate.

As I said before, government never has enough money. We need to recreate the budget based on what should be done by government, what is done by the private sector and end the union monopoly over labor. Why should anyone be forced to pay a bribe to work and why should government be forced to pay 15-20% MORE for a project to pay off campaign donations? REPORT ON THE CRP CONVENTION

Celeste Greig, CRP Delegate; Member, Woodland Hills Republican Women, Federated; and Former President, California Republican Assembly

On the weekend of September 18-20, 2015, Party members convened for the Semi Annual (Fall) CRP conven-tion. It took place at the Disneyland-Anaheim Marriott

Hotel, with 1177 registered delegates, associate members and guests in attendance. I started attending our Party's conven-tions in the early Eighties when I was ap-pointed as a member/delegate. Ever since then I have been a Republican Par-ty voting member. We have two conven-tions a year which rotate between South-ern and Northern California. This week-end, by a super majority vote, Proposal 1A to the Rules Committee passed stating that, effective in 2016, there will be only one convention and thereafter. 2016’s Convention will be on April 30th, in San Francisco. Some of the delegates from Southern California were unhappy with the change (including myself).

For almost nine months we had been quite worried and nervous about the state of our Party's Platform, as every four years before the Presidential election, we vote to retain, ratify or make some minor changes to the Platform. There had been a lot of rumors that there was going to be a drastic change (more liberal), to some of the planks. Some of you may know that as the major contribu-tor/donor to the Party, Mr. Charles Munger Jr. has a lot of influence in con-trolling the Party. So some of us had real concerns. I will spare you the details at this time, but I'm very happy to report that the pro-life plank is and will remain solid conservative for the next four years. It states:

THE RIGHT TO LIFE The California Republican Party is the party that protects innocent life because we believe life be-gins at conception and ends at

natural death. We support laws that protect unborn

children from partial birth, sex selection, and tax-payer funded abortions, and abortions performed as a form of birth control, or on minor girls without their parents' notification.

We believe that the question of abortion is a matter that should be left to the people through their elected representatives, not usurped by the United States Supreme Court. Accordingly, we encourage the reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision.

We support adoption as an alterna-tive to abortion and call on law-makers to reduce the bureau-cratic burden placed on adoptive couples. As a part of respecting the sancti-ty of life for disabled persons, we oppose efforts to legalize assist-ed suicide or euthanasia.

We support a comprehensive ban on all human cloning .The California Republican Party supports ethical stem cell research that focuses on cures and does not destroy innocent human life.

Also the planks on THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS (Second Amendment), TAXES & GOVERNMENT SPENDING, VETERANS AFFAIRS, PROPERTY RIGHTS, FEDERALISM, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, HEALTHCARE, NA-TIONAL DEFENSE, were all quite satisfac-tory to us.

I personally like the writing of the plank on the FAMILY, which states:

The California Republican Party affirms the family as the natural and indispensable institution for human development.

A strong and healthy family unit is the heart of the home, a safe surrounding where family deci-sions are made, children are raised, and morality is taught. The family is a founda-

tion on which American society has grown and prospered for over 200 years.

We support the two-parent family as the best environment for raising children, and therefore believe that it is important to de-fine marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

The Supreme Court's ruling cannot and must not be used to coerce a church or a religious institution into performing marriages that their faith does not recognize.

We believe public policy and educa-tion should not be exploited to advocate or teach any social or political agenda.

And yes, as always we cannot always have it all, there was a lot of pro and con on the IMMIGRATION plank. The other side prevailed with some changes with which some of us were not in agreement. Two dear friends of mine (Jon Fleischman and Steve Frank), tried very eloquent-ly from the floor to voice their concerns, but ultimately the majority voted prevailed. At the Friday lunch we saw and heard Gov. Mike Huckabee deliver a good conservative speech. He has a good record and is a strong supporter of Israel.

At Saturday's Banquet Dinner the speaker was Ambassador John Bolton (replacing Gov. Scott Walker, who can-celed at the last minute). It was so gracious of him to fly the redeye to speak to us. He gave an absolutely powerful speech. Of course his forte is National Security, ISIS, and National Defense.

Ok that's it for now, I will report next month on my trip to the VALUES VOTER SUMMIT IN Washington DC, Sept 23-27, 2017.

Misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution Fred Elbel/ Elbel Consulting Services

Quite simply, the Fourteenth Amendment currently is being interpreted to grant automatic birthright citizenship to children born in the United States of illegal alien parents (called an-chor babies because under the 1965 immigration Act, they act as an anchor that pulls the illegal alien mother and eventually a host of other relatives into permanent U.S. residency). This clearly is contrary to the original intent of Congress and the States in ratifying the Four-teenth Amendment. While it has been the practice to bestow citizenship to children of illegal aliens, this has never been ruled on by the Supreme Court.

Professors Peter Schuck and Rogers Smith have noted1 that: "The present guarantee under American law of automatic birthright citizenship to the children of illegal aliens can operate...as one more incentive to illegal migration and violation by nonimmigrant aliens already here [.] When this attraction is combined with the powerful lure of the expanded entitlements conferred upon citizen children and their families by the modern welfare state, the total incentive effect of birthright citizenship may well become significant." Indeed, the consequences of this practice are significant. References 1. Professors Peter Schuck and Rogers Smith, "Consensual Citizenship”

THE 14TH AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTIUTION

Richard A. Nixon, Esq. Please be reminded that 2016 is more than just a presidential election...all 435 rep's and 33 or so senators are also up for elec-tion. I suggest we send them a message, something like the fol-lowing: 1. The 14th Amendment, directed at the states and ratified in 1868, provides definitions of citizenship, liberty, due process and equal protection. By distorting the intended meanings of these terms, the Supreme Court (SC), by legerdemain, has found: a. that the mere act of being born in the U.S. entitles one to citi-zenship even if one's parents are illegal aliens; b. "liberty," originally defined as freedom from gov't action or freedom from incarceration, now means a right to have mar-riage redefined to include same-sex couples; c. "due process" redefined to permit the SC to apply the Bill of Rights (first 10 amendments) to the states, originally intended to apply to the federal gov't only; and d. "equal protection," intended to ensure that former slaves were to be treated the same as non-slaves, has now been dis-torted to mean that same-sex couples are to be treated the same as opposite-sex couples for purposes of marriage. 2. This can be "fixed" by redefining these terms as originally in-tended in 1868 when written. This in turn can be done by utiliz-ing the 14A § 5, which states: "The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriation, legislation, the provisions of this arti-cle." Contrary to O'Reilly, Judge Napolitano, and Carly Fiorina, constitutional amendment is not necessary!!! 3. This would end the "anchor baby" problem, i.e., only children born of parents both of whom are citizens of the U.S. at the time of said birth, could be citizens by birth. "Liberty" could no longer be used to justify the "constitutional

right" to abortion, gay marriage, etc...; "due process" could no longer be used to apply the B of R's to the states, i.e., the states would be free as per the 10th amend-ment, to fashion their own laws re religion, free speech, mar-riage, abortion, and all other damage to their freedoms wrought by the SC. We would at last be free...and "equal protection" could no longer be used to justify gay marriage or any other pur-pose other than to treat the former slave equal to the non-slave, as intended. 4. If this be done, enforcement of the SC's rulings inconsistent with the new definitions, as proposed herein, will be stopped as the SC will have no authority to hear the matter as it will not have "arisen under the Constitution," which is required for the federal courts including the SC to hear any matter. Please see Article III, § 2.1 which states in pertinent part, "The judicial pow-er shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution..." 5, As added assurance, Congress must apply the "Exceptions and Regulations" clause of Article III, § 2.2, which states, in pertinent part, "...the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and to fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as Congress shall make." 6. By withholding jurisdiction on any matter involving the 14th A, except those involving the terms newly defined by Congress, the SC is rendered impotent to issue decisions involving its own pre-vious rulings. 7. Check-mate...

8. Congress and the People are now in charge as our Founding Fathers intended...
