9. Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy Learning and Teaching Methods Active learning is promoted through lectures, seminars, demonstrations, professional-setting placement and guided student-centred activities. Extensive use will be made of research skills. Practical skills will be developed during the professional-setting placement and, where appropriate, through laboratory based activities. Assessment Methods Each module is assessed by a tutor-marked assignment task, submitted via Turnitin®. Tasks may require the learner to demonstrate success in a variety of ways including essay, PowerPoint or other ICT platform, seminar presentation etc.
10. Other Information Date programme first offered September 2015 Admissions Criteria BTEC Higher Nationals are a suitable option for anyone progressing from Level 3 study. Learners may have completed A-levels, a BTEC National or another equivalent qualification. Learners may come straight from Level 3 study, or have spent time in a relevant workplace. A minimum of Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in English and mathematics is also required.

i. Assignments are internally moderated by the delivery team and externally verified by the examination board.
ii. Submission quality is monitored and validated by the college’s Assessment Board.
