Suitable for students with related work experience or a solid academic back-ground, the BTEC HND in Business of-fers a practical and theoretical framework from which to gather the tools essential to succeed in business.

Not only does the BTEC HND in Business provide the base on which to build a successful career, it also acts as a step-ping stone to higher levels of academic qualifications.

The natural progression for this course is to study a full degree in Business. This can be achieved by completing a 1 year top-up course, which is the equivalent to the final year of a degree course.

Related work experience

Students who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied the final two years of school in English, can demonstrate capability in English at a standard commensurate to: IELTS 5.5, with a minimum of 5.0 being awarded on individual sections for a Level 4 or 5 qualification

The criteria to join the BTEC HND in Business qualification has been designed to qualify as many students as possible.

Application ProcessSTEP 1. A pre-admission (enquiry) form to be submitted to gain one-to-one information, advice or guidance (IAG) about the course and the college.

STEP 2. An application form must be submitted with all necessary original documents that meet the course entry requirements.

Documents to Submit: - Valid ID proof - 2 passport sized photographs - All educational documents - Proof of work experience (for the category of mature learners) - Updated CV - Personal statement - Address proof - UK Residency status

STEP 3. An assessment interview and test will follow once the application form and necessary documents have been submitted.

STEP 4. A conditional place will be offered once the assessment outcome is positive and an unconditional place will be offered upon the fulfilment of all conditions as per the initial offer.

By joining the UK College of Business and Computing to study BTEC HND in Busi-ness, you have the opportunity to acquire a thorough understanding of the principles necessary to succeed. In addition, with prac-tical work experience available, you’ll find that both your academic and professional ambitions are fully supported.

The BTEC HND in Business is a two-year classroom based course at UKCBC. Throughout the course, you will be required to study 15 modules.

Students may consider continuing their academic progression and pursuing a full honours degree. Many universities in the UK provide exemptions for the first or first two years of the three year undergraduate programme.
