What an incredible privilege to experience the blessings and

accomplishments of this past school year as your Head of School! Last

summer when I began my first year in this role, little did I know what God

had in store for HPCA. As we reflect back together on the changes, challenges, and achievements of

2014-15, we can be thankful for God’s providence and amazed at His provision. We began this year

with the school wide theme of “Trust,” and now can truly say, “O taste and see that the Lord is good:

blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.” (Psalm. 34:8 KJV)

Our Class of 2015, holding the distinction of being the 10th

graduating class of HPCA, received over $3.2 million in scholarship

opportunities while performing nearly 2,000 hours of community

service and mission work. The 2015 Terra Nova scores of grades K-8

were outstanding and closely rival the highest scores in our school’s

history. While our faculty and staff worked to deliver excellence in

curriculum and instruction daily, they also led the students in serving

the community and meeting needs in faraway places. As for examples,

our students served locally by filling the Northwood Elementary

cafeteria with “Breakfast Buddies” on Tuesday mornings, and they served internationally by providing

hundreds of lunches to the poor schoolchildren at Bright Star Academy in Kibera Slum, Kenya.

As you read these pages and enjoy the images of all our students accomplished this year at HPCA, join

us in expressing gratitude to God for all He has done. Remember that we are “committed to Christ-

centered, quality education and academic excellence in partnership with family and church within a

loving, caring atmosphere.”

Ten graduating classes and over 500 alumni later,

that mission has not changed.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own

understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

New Administration Mr. Keith Curlee assumed the position of Head of School in July 2014, having worked as high school principal the past two years. Mr. Curlee began at HPCA in 1999 and helped to establish the middle and high school divisions

before leaving for East Asia, where he worked for seven years at Morrison Christian Academy. Mr. Curlee has four children --- one daughter in college, a son who is an HPCA 2015 graduate, and two sons still attending HPCA. His wife, Page, also works at the Academy.

Mr. Matt Doyle joined the Administrative Team of HPCA as the new High School Principal. He most recently taught English at Guilford Technical Community College and previously worked as the Head of School for Hayworth Christian School. Mr. Doyle and his wife, Lauren,

have two boys who attend HPCA Preschool and Academy.

“TRUST” - School Theme 2014-2015 As HPCA transitioned into new leadership, Mr. Curlee identified the school theme of “TRUST” to guide our year. It is so easy to let worry and fear seep into our lives, yet God continually reminds us in His word to trust Him and not to fear. In fact, one of the most prevalent commands given in the Bible is “Do not fear.” Proverbs 3:5-6 is a great reminder to us to always lean on Him. It states,

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your

ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

International Students At HPCA, students are accepted from around the world to learn, study, and share life in the hospitality and security of an American, Christian home. Students from South Korea, China, Vietnam, Croatia, Nigeria, Brazil, Lithuania, Japan, Canada, and

Mexico have become HPCA Cougars, graduating and continuing their education at top American universities. For the school year 2014-2015, HPCA hosted 23 International students representing Brazil, South Korea, Canada, Spain, and China.

Opportunity Scholarships High Point Christian Academy welcomes students who are recipients of the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program. The Opportunity Scholarship Act was passed by the General Assembly in July 2013 and will assist students in attending the school of their choice by awarding as much as $4,200 per student each year. For the 2014-2015 school year, 11 students were able to attend HPCA through the OSP and we look forward to their return in the coming school year, together with new students as the program grows!

The 2015 HPCA Auction, “An Evening of Southern Blessings,” was a success in more ways than one. As Auction Chair, Glenna Dysinger noted, “Although the purpose of the Auction was to raise funds for the school – the larger goal was to create an ‘evening to remember,’ to have our school family bond together, and build new friendships and connections that will help our precious students. Thank you to all of our supporters. “

We appreciate the sponsorship from the following companies: Cook-Out Restaurant, Jamie Harrelson with Berkshire Hathaway Realty, Karl Sherrill with Senn Dunn Insurance, and Rita Fankhauser with Faith Underground.

Annual Fruit Sale The annual Fruit Sale enables HPCA to offer quality programming while keeping tuition as low as possible. In 2014-2015, the fruit sale was a success, with the net proceeds of over $36,300. Students were rewarded with an extra day of Christmas vacation, along with other incentives throughout the campaign. High school students could grab for money, get an exam exempted, earn homework passes, and win gift cards. Elementary and Middle School students could earn dress down passes, win gift cards, and have their names placed in a drawing to win one of 3 iPads awarded. We had numerous high-selling families and great participation. The highest selling families in the Elementary and Middle School were Mosier, Warden, and Davis. In the High School it was Phipps, Kirkland, and Severs. For families selling 20 boxes or more, three iPads were given in a random drawing.

Academy Accreditation: AdvancED (formerly SACS) and ACSI After a rigorous process of internal and external reviews and examination, High Point Christian Academy has been recommended for accreditation for another 5-year term by the AdvancED and ACSI Accreditation Commission. The External Review Team that was assigned to HPCA visited the campus for three days, giving the Academy high marks in every standard. They praised classroom teachers on how students were engaged and how teachers interacted with them, noting that HPCA students love their school and the teachers love their students. The Team determined that the mission of HPCA is demonstrated daily in classroom instruction and school-wide relationships. The leadership and faculty of HPCA are grateful for the accreditation renewal. As the news began to spread, one parent's response seemed to sum it up:

had at HPCA. The teachers and staff are loving, inspiring, and dedicated to the students. I couldn't have asked for a better foundation for my children. Blessings to you all!"

Kingdom Education and Biblical Integration

At High Point Christian Academy, we emphasize academic rigor utilizing an excellent, college preparatory Biblically-integrated curriculum. Each classroom is energized by a challenging and supportive environment. HPCA is committed to teaching our students in a Christ-centered environment. We view the Bible as God’s Holy Word. In every aspect of school life, it is our sincere desire to point students to Christ. HPCA provides a structured Bible curriculum, as well as ensuring that all subjects are taught through the lens of the Scripture. Regular chapel services give every student the opportunity for spiritual examination, growth, and worship.

It is our sincere desire to lead students to Christ, build them up in Christ, and equip them to serve Christ.

Class Retreats The Senior Class enjoyed a time of bonding and refreshing as they experienced the annual Senior Retreat in August. There were times of spiritual focus, both individually and in groups, and times of recreation and fun. The surroundings at Camp Merriwood allow for many different activities and the two days were well spent in team-building and strengthening relationships. HPCA 8th graders enjoyed a Leadership Retreat at Camp Merriwood and spent several days in recreation, team-building, and spiritual devotion. Mornings began with a personal quiet time, preparing for a day filled with rock climbing, canoeing, and group initiatives. Local singing artist, Cindy Johnson, led in praise and worship for the students. Each evening was capped off with devotions in the students' cabins.

Elementary students attend chapel services every other week, hosting a variety of presenters, ministers, and groups. Their chapel offerings are sent to provide lunches at Bright

Star Academy in Kibera Slum, Kenya, a small impoverished school that our students have supported for almost four years. High school and middle school students attend chapel services as well, with middle schoolers holding small group sessions once each quarter for more individualized discussion and attention. Chapels this year included: Life Action Team, hosted by Green Street Baptist Church (GSBC) for a four-

day Thirst Conference. World War II Veteran, Doc Long, who was wounded on the beaches of

Normandy. "Totally Bananaz for Jesus," a fun high-tech presentation for TK-5th. HPCA alumnus, Rebecca Leigh, also a Meredith College graduate and

participant in the World Race Mission experience. #11countriesin11months Pure Life Ministries, hosted by GSBC for a Call to Purity weekend,

challenged high school students at chapel to live by God’s Biblical standards of purity and not be desensitized by today’s culture.

Missionary Paul Young, Tall Paul, an amazing chalk artist, shared the gospel with TK-5th students through his chalk drawings.

Local pastors have shared with our students: Josh Tysinger, Children/Education Pastor at Oak View Baptist Church; Whitman Toland, Head Pastor at C3 Church Greensboro (Christian City Church); Jon Ferguson, Head Pastor at Forest Park Baptist Church; Eric Davis, Joel Angel, and GSBC Senior Pastor Brandon Ware.

High School students engaged in a 2-day Spiritual Retreat in October with the AXIS team, a group dedicated to empowering this generation to think clearly and critically about what they believe and to take ownership of a lifelong faith. Principal Matt Doyle noted, “It was interesting to see our students, especially those who have been in our Understanding the Times (UTT) class in their senior year, use what they have learned here at HPCA to discuss what they believe and why they believe it.” Mr. Doyle asserted that the whole concept of “Ideas Have Consequences” was a central message and students’ beliefs were both challenged and strengthened by this experience. The students were given an opportunity to defend their belief in God, challenge the moderator with their own questions, and were given something to think about.

PARENT CONNECTIONS Moms in Prayer Moms gather weekly to pray for our students, teachers, and the school. With prayer requests in hand, they are intentional and pray that our school will be directed by biblical values and high moral standards. All Pro Dad Once each month, dads and their young children are invited to share Chick-fil-A breakfast and be a hero to their kids, All Pro Dad messages inspires dads in their character as a dad and husband, and provides guidance and practical tips in raising kids in a life giving way.

Communities of Faith Partner of the Year Green Street Baptist Church and High Point Christian Academy were recently named Communities in Schools 2014-2015 Communities of Faith Partner of the Year at Northwest Elementary. Throughout the year, members of Green Street and students at HPCA have volunteered as Breakfast Buddies, provided funding and resources to assist students and their families — as well as teachers and staff — and supported school-wide events at Northwood. “We are thankful for the privilege of allowing our students to serve the community and mentor

young lives during these critical years,” noted Head of School, Keith Curlee. “Leadership through service is an integral part of our vision as we build up future citizens through academic excellence with a biblical worldview. Northwood Elementary and Green Street Baptist Church are important partners to us in fulfilling our mission.”

Each year, a number of our high school students attend Breakfast Buddies on Tuesday mornings at Northwood Elementary School. This past school year, approximately 50 HPCA students spent time with their buddy during breakfast, mentoring and studying with them. The 8th grade Jr. Beta Club members spent time reading to the students at Northwood Elementary.

Red Cross Blood Drive

The HPCA Chapter of the Science National Honor Society teamed up with the local American Red Cross to collect much needed blood for our area. The blood drive resulted in 32 first-time donors and 33 productive units of blood.

Kids, Cans, Ca$h Recycling Challenge

HPCA students collected 44 pounds of aluminum cans for the Guilford County Elementary School Recycling Challenge. 8

HPCA and the Sunshine Club of Green Street Baptist Church teamed up to collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Billed as the world’s largest Christmas

project of its kind, OCC is operating through Samaritan’s Purse which since 1993 has collected and delivered more than 113 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries. HPCA and GSBC efforts resulted in over 1,000 shoeboxes ready to ship to Samaritan’s Purse to brighten the lives of children around the world at Christmas!

Life of Influence Life of Influence is a school-wide initiative in preparing hearts,

heads, and hands for kingdom impact. From TK-12th grade, HPCA students participate in school-wide

efforts to support missions for the cause of Christ and to support community organizations.

HPCA Preschoolers led the way, raising over $379 to support children at the Greta Home and Academy of Samaritan’s Purse. Kindergarteners and Transitional-K students collected items for Pickett Elementary School in Lexington City Schools. Our 1st graders sang Christmas carols at a local retirement home. Second grade students collected items for Open Door Ministries. Miss Bills’ 3rd grade class raised $386.60 for the Hospice Home. The Pregnancy Care Center received $2,300 from the efforts of 4th grade students. Fifth graders raised over $700 in support of the Gideon's’ ministry to spread the gospel. Middle School students fulfill a Servant’s Heart project each year, serving families, neighbors, and their community. Students shoveled driveways, worked in church nurseries, helped grandparents and neighbors with yardwork, and conducted other meaningful service projects. The 7th graders also served at Cross Road Retirement Center providing labor, music, and a lot of fun. High School students work on their Life of Influence portfolio each year, culminating in a KIP project during their senior year. (See below.) Jr. Beta Club members paired up with reading buddies at Pickett and Northwood Elementary Schools, walked for the Pregnancy Care Center, and collected items for Oak Hill Elementary Christmas Fair. The Interact Club participated in 25 service projects, including soup kitchen, blood drive, food drive, Oak Hill Elementary fall party, concessions, Operation Christmas Child, Pregnancy Care Center, Hospitality House, Shoes for Orphans Souls, Breakfast Buddies, Habitat for Humanity, and other service projects. The JV Cheerleading Squad visited Piedmont Crossing Nursing Home in Thomasville to spread some cheer to the residents. Volleyball teams supported a local girl with Leukemia with Spike Leukemia, hosting a silent auction and selling baked goods. The MS Girls Soccer team worked with C3 Greensboro Church’s “Out of the Garden” project, packing bags of food for local families.

Seniors Life Of Influence KIP Projects HPCA high school students must complete a Life of Influence (LOI) portfolio which helps them to consider their life purpose and determine how best to leverage this purpose for Kingdom Influence. As a senior, they must complete KIP (Kommunity Impact Project). This project is something they have a passion for and fits within their “sweet spot” of life purpose. Students conducted mission work in impoverished areas through eastern US, coached sports teams, packed bookbags of food for the needy, volunteered with the High Point Theatre, painted a mural in the GSBC youth room, mentored young girls, built a house with World Relief, taught English to women from Laos, built retention walls for landscaping beside the HPCA high school building, helped to remodel, rebuild, and repair a damaged Christian school

in Florida, and many other service and mission projects. Sarah Austen Coats was the recipient of the Michael P. Cliff Life of Influence Award. She chose to put a roof on a local home as her Life of Influence project after being inspired by the World Changers theme, "Change the City - Change the World." She gathered a crew of 15-20 people, raised money through a yard sale, and found a local resident who badly needed a new roof and had shingles, but could not afford the labor. The team members were fed by Waffle House and the HPCA JV volleyball team. As the resident came out to see the work, she was overcome with emotion because of their compassion and labor for her.

Academics “Blessed is the man who makes the

Lord his trust.”

Psalm 40:4(a)

The school year 2014-15 proved to be another outstanding year academically, with students winning regional and state competitions, earning perfect scores on SAT and ACT exams, and receiving scholarships to a wide range of colleges and

universities. Once again, the students in High Point Christian's Kindergarten through 8th grade scored among the top in the nation on their TerraNova end of year exam. Many elementary and middle school students qualify for the Duke TIP program each year, and the rosters of the National Honor Society and Beta Club continue to grow. We are thankful for the hard work of teachers, students, and their families,

to make each year successful in student learning and in academic achievement. Although HPCA does not focus on test preparation and practice, each year our students' outstanding academic performance affirms our mission to provide Christ-centered quality education and academic excellence.

For TerraNova Testing in grades K-8, HPCA is again in the

top 10% nationwide!

Students Explore Career Opportunities at Career Fair

Over 30 professionals shared their time with the high school students at the annual Career Fair, where students had the opportunity to ask questions about various professions

and the associated college requirements. HPCA parent, Mr. John Couillard, an electrical engineer with BE Aerospace, demonstrated the latest technology for airplane seats. Other careers represented

were law enforcement, nursing, education, ministry, interior design, paramedics, accounting, and engineering. 12

The Science National Honor Society was organized to advance students’ knowledge of science and to encourage a dedication to the pursuit of scientific knowledge. Full members have greater than a 3.0 average and have credit for an Honors and AP Science class. There are 13 students in full membership and 11 students in provisional membership. Serving as President was Wade Curlee, Vice President was James Rush, and Secretary was Katie Fisher. Members worked on a school project, provided science tutoring in the high school, and invited speakers from the scientific community to monthly meetings. This year, HPU Professor of Pharmacy, Joy Greene, spoke to the group about the pharmaceutical industry.

Extended learning occurs throughout the year as students travel to curriculum-related locations and experience hands-on activities and gain new knowledge.

Preschool HPCA Preschool was voted one of the Best Preschools in High Point, having tied for first place in the Triad Moms on Main Choice Awards. HPCA offers early morning care, a preschool curriculum and school day from 8:30am-12:00pm, and after school care until 6:00pm. We have the same loving teachers and warm atmosphere for toddlers and preschoolers as our Academy, and we prepare them for the coming years as an HPCA student. HPCA Preschool is fully accredited as a division of the Academy with AdvancED and ACSI and is committed to providing Christ-centered, quality early education for young children in our community.

In addition to the daily curriculum, the preschoolers celebrated holidays and enjoyed fun activities. They came dressed as farmers, scarecrows, and farm animals to celebrate Harvest Day, enjoying sack races, pumpkin toss, and alphabet relay. For Christmas, the 4-year-old classes shared Christmas carols with the Academy Trans-K and Kindergarteners. They celebrated winter with indoor ice skating and sledding, going on a bear hunt, and marshmallow snowball fights. In conjunction with the Academy’s Spirit Week, they dressed up for Crazy Mixed Up Day and Jammies Day. In addition to celebrating our Savior for Easter, the students participated in activities that included coloring and hunting eggs. They attended chapel weekly and met community helpers such as policemen and firemen. In the spring, they watched their caterpillars turn into lovely butterflies. Highlights for the 4-year-olds include Creature Teacher, Jump Bunch, and Pumpkin Patch. The 3-year-olds had fun in the Tumblebus. The 2-year-olds learned about Moses and Noah, and made cool rainbows. All ages ended the year with Family Fun Day! Moms, dads, and siblings joined the preschoolers and teachers on the grounds for face painting, inflatables, snow cones, cotton candy, and fun games like bowling, the hopper ball, and the parachute.

HPCA is committed to Christ-centered, quality education and academic excellence in partnership with family and church within a loving, caring environment. HPCA Preschool is committed to the nurture, instruction and encouragement

of children and families; honoring Jesus Christ in all and above all. 16

Cougar Cub Club Each Wednesday afternoon, the 4-year-olds go to Cougar Cub Club for additional instruction and fun, such as Baby Grand Music.

TECHNOLOGY FUNDING INITIATIVE Thanks to the exciting challenge of our generous donor in December/January, and the supporters who responded and met the challenge, HPCA now owns its second 3D printer and a new iPad Cart equipped with 20 iPads! Through this endeavor, 3D printing is becoming more commonplace around HPCA and iPad learning will be more enriching and engaging with a device for every student in the classroom. This implementation is yet another initiative of HPCA to improve STEM literacy and prepare our students for the future of global competitiveness.

CLASSROOM APPLICATIONS As 3rd grade students studied the galaxy, they designed their own planets, then watched them jump off the page into orbit! Using an educational app called coIAR Mix and Augmented Reality technology, the images students created were transferred into virtual reality 3D. Middle School students designed and printed their own unique 3D snowflake Christmas ornaments as gifts to share God's love through the use of technology. Students created the snowflake designs on the browser-based 3D design platform Tinkercad and printed them on HPCA's MakerBot Replicator 3D printer. Geometry students have the opportunity to print hands-on, 3D geometrical shapes to build understanding.

Kindergarten, first- and second-grade students are learning computer programming. With our new iPads and the educational app Scratch, Jr., these students used programming blocks in sequence with multiple characters to create their own animated story. Seventh grade Literature class used iPads to do a character analysis activity on the novel they just finished. First graders built reading skills and practiced concepts on iPads. 8th grade History students used a 3D replica of the Federal Supreme Court building when learning about our government and preparing for their trip to Washington D.C.

HPCA offers a Robotic Club afterschool for grades 4-7, and a competition Robotics Team

meets during the spring. Each summer, the two sessions of Robotics Camp are filled. Mrs. Donna Henry, the TK-8 Computer and Tech Lab teacher,

leads the club, team, and camps. The students learn to design and program an autonomous robot to simulate different situations . 18

Page 19: (pdf) Summer Edition 2015

High School Computer Class

The high school Exploring Computer Science Honors class uses CodeHS as their coding curriculum. The co-founder and CEO, Jeremy Keeshin, visited HPCA on a national road trip to CodeHS high schools. Jeremy

noted that only one out of ten schools teach computer code, and HPCA is one of them! Mrs. Daniels uses CodeHS videos to supplement her classroom instruction. “I feel each day is a success story! These students are learning how to code, which will only help them in their future. I have a couple of seniors who are interested in majoring in computer science in college.” Teachers Attend iPad Convention

Learning to leverage new technology from a Christ-centered view to the advantage of our students is a constant challenge and our continued commitment at HPCA. We sent eight elementary and middle school teachers to the “Teaching & Learning with iPad” conference in Raleigh. The workshops ranged from managing iPads in the classroom to using iPads in every subject area. This year, Mr. Andy Oats “flipped” his math classroom by making videos of himself teaching geometry that the students “viewed” for homework, and then gave the students classroom time for completing

assignments with him right there to provide help and support.

Mr. Oats currently teaches AP Calculus, AP Stats, and Geometry. He has also enjoyed incorporating a new 3D printer into his curriculum this year, making – among other things – manipulatives like a solid icosahedron for his geometry class.

Jazz Band performing Christmas music at Friendly Shopping Center

The Fine Arts Department begins identifying students with musical skill and passion in the early middle school years. The 7th and 8th grade band students most likely started playing an instrument in the 6th grade. Even after only one year of skill development, these students are ready to perform with a group, participating in HPCA Spring and Christmas Band Concerts. For this year's concerts, the 6th grade students were invited to participate as well. The Middle School Band also performed at the Carowinds Festival of Music, where they received feedback from judges to improve technique and execution of their selections. The HPCA High School Concert Band participated in the North Carolina Central District Music Performance Adjudications and at the Heritage Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, where they earned Excellent and Superior ratings, respectively. The High School Jazz Band performed their music for the Christmas shoppers in Friendly Center on a chilly evening in December. They also performed in the Spring at the High School Art Show. This was the inaugural year for the newly formed HPCA Brass Choir, which performed in the Christmas Fine Arts Chapel for the entire student body, and again at the Spring Auction, where they provided entertainment for families and their guests.

Junior Jacob Akes attended several honor band clinics throughout the year and made first spot in the state in the All-District Jazz Band. He also made the 5th spot for the All-State Jazz Band. This summer, Jacob will be attending the Berklee College of Music for a five week summer program in Jazz.

Performances are the culmination of the many hours of practice and preparation that go into learning a piece of music. The multiple choral groups at HPCA had many opportunities to perform this year --- for entertainment and for adjudications. Wake Forest University hosted the N.C. Central District Choir Music Performance Adjudications, a four-day event attended by public and private schools in the area. The high school choral groups from HPCA performed and received strong scores of Superior and Excellent from the judges. The High School Concert Choir, the HPCA Women's Ensemble, the Honors Trio, and the Honors Quartet all gave performances at this major event. The High School Concert Choir (HSCC) and the Women's Ensemble also had the opportunity to participate in the Heritage Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, with both groups receiving Superior ratings from the judges. In addition to seeking feedback from the judges at adjudications, HPCA choral groups found ways to entertain and be a blessing to our community. The HSCC and Women's Ensemble provided Christmas music for the residents at Westchester Harbour Assisted Living Center. The Women's Ensemble performed the National Anthem before the Homecoming Football Game in the Fall and again at the Wesleyan vs. HPCA Basketball Game held in HPU's arena. The HPCA Men's Barbershop Group debuted in the Christmas Fine Arts Chapel before the whole student body and also performed at the Senior Night Basketball Game and the HPCA Spring Auction. The Middle School Choir and the 4th and 5th grade singers in Bel Canto had a busy year as well, singing for Piedmont Christian Home and other assisted living communities, and performing for the judges at the North Carolina Music Performance Adjudications in Greensboro and the Carowinds Festival of Music.

Nine elementary art students were selected to showcase their work at the Triad Elementary School Art Exhibition at Theatre Art Galleries in downtown High Point in November and December of 2014. Fourth grader Abigail Brown was selected as a winner of High Point University's Draw Like a Panther Contest from over 300 local art entries. Abigail was recognized during a men's home basketball game where she received prizes and awards.

Preschool through 5th grade student artists had Weather Forecast Artwork published all throughout the year in the High Point Enterprise. Artwork ran in color daily on the front page of the newspaper in conjunction with the day's weather forecast. Elementary students created hand painted terracotta planters for the school's “An Evening of Southern Blessings” auction event. The planters raised over $1,700 in funds for the school.

Mrs. Abby Lewallen wrote and received a Teacher Arts Grant to the High Point Arts Council in the amount of $500 to help fund the 16th Annual H.P.C.A. EXPO Day. EXPO Day is an entire school day devoted to EXPOsure and hands-on learning in the areas of Heritage, People, Cultures, and Arts. Students in grades TK-6th experienced a live performance of the “Emperor’s New Clothes” by the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. The remainder of the day was filled with demonstrations, exhibits, and student engagement.
