KE2 - Transition to Anti-Static Round Belt

To simplify the KE2 product offering and address the requirement foran ESD curve, KE2 curves are now only available with anti-staticround belt (black in color).

Due to the unique properties of the anti-static round belt, it cannot bewelded using the existing belt welding kit. Replacement anti-staticround belt is available from Bosch Rexroth in pre-welded lengthsspecific to curve size and line gap.

Curved units provide a 90° or 180° change in pallet direction while still maintaining leading edge orientation. They can help lower system cost by reducing control complexity and system requirements as compared to the use of lift-transfer units.

The KE2/90 and KE2/180 modules use a polyurethane belt to pull pallets through the curve and can transfer up to 20 kg.

KE2 series curves are a simple way to change pallet direction while maintaining leading edge orientation. They can be used to construct a carousel style layout. 90° powered and slave driven versions are available.

Loads must be centrally located on the pallet to ensure proper operation, and a stop gate must be mounted before the curve to prevent pallet accumulation in the curve.

KE2/90-O curves are driven via a BS2/K transverse conveyor (page 9-10), and in-clude all necessary hardware to connect them to the auxiliary output drive shaft on the BS2/K. The curve's transport speed is dependent on the BS2/K that drives it.

The KE2/90-O comes partly assembled, and includes all necessary mounting hardware to fasten to a BS2/K. Leg sets, shown on page 8-5, are used to support the curves.

The KE2/180-O curve provides a means of changing pallet direction 180° while maintaining leading edge orientation. Two different line spacing (dimension "a" at right) versions are available.

KE2/180-O curves are driven via a BS2/K transverse conveyor (page 9-10), and include all necessary hardware to connect them to the auxiliary output drive shaft on the BS2/K.

KE2 series curves use round urethane belts to transport the pallets through the curves. Although the belts can be replaced with pre-welded belts, welding the belt on site will save time and labor.

The round belt welding kit includes all the necessary equipment needed to trim and weld the urethane belt:

NOTE: Anti-static (A) round belt is not available cut-to-length. It can only be pur-chased in pre-welded lengths speci�c to curve size and line gap. Please contact our Technical Service department when ordering Anti-static round belt for correct part numbers and ordering information.
