Overview over the possible payment types of business travellers:

Not accepted by all hotel partners due to delay of receipt of payment and higher effort. Non-acceptance leads to representatives of some companies being unable to book the respective hotel.

Payment with a Central Credit Card: For simple payment, a credit card is entered during the booking. In cooperation with the corporate customers, the HRS GROUP has developed the special ways of payment paperless.travel and global.payment.

global.payment and paperless.travel – the most importantInformation for hotel partners at a glance:x

paperless.travel and global.payment are payment solutions that are based on virtual credit cards and that are increasin-gly desired by corporate customers. They facilitate the com-panies‘ travel management enormously and therefore ensure satisfied and returning guests.

paperless.travel and global.payment can replace the complex payment on account and ensure streamlined processes in the hotel.

Both alternatives are based on known technologies. There are no additional costs for the hotel partners. Behind the used virtual credit cards are notable providers, such as MasterCard and others. Therefore, there are no differen-ces from the known credit card payments.

This payment method decreases the workload and redu-ces waiting times during check-out peak times at the hotel (e.g. in the morning), since the transaction can take place at a later point in time (since it is independent from a physical card.)

Contrary to the usual payment of bills from business travellers on account, the separate mailing of the invoice is not necessary.

The transaction is made immediately after debiting the credit card – at best promptly after the guest‘s check-out. There are no collections and reminders, therefore increa-sing liquidity.

This is how global.payment and paperless.travel work:x

1. The hotel receives the payment instruction / cost transfer together with the booking confirmation. Also included is the information on the virtual credit card. It differs from the regular card only in regards to it not being a physical card and that is was exclusively created for this booking. Furthermore, the payment instruction contains the following information:

HRS process number for swift finding in case of further inquiry

Information on guest‘s arrival and departure

Name of guest

Credit card details (the complete credit card number will be sent by fax)

Fixed charge limit to avoid charging errors

Definition of the service to be charged

Billing address for correct processing

2. As usual, the credit card information is available in different channels: in the online booking summary under www.hrs.de/hotelservice (two days after booking and two days after departure) through the Channel Manager in the CRS or on the fax confirmation.

3. The difference between global.payment and paperless.travel for the hotel is:

When using global.payment, the traveller takes the invoice with him when checking out.

When using paperless.travel, HRS collects the invoices on behalf of the company via fax (+49 221 2077-8800) or Email ([email protected])
