A Letter from our Pastor… Dear Parishioners, We are excited to welcome you back to the first celebration of Sunday Mass with a congregation, on June 14th. Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make some changes to our schedule and to the way in which you will participate in the celebration.

Anyone who is currently exhibiting any flu-like symptoms, coughing, sneezing, or fever are not allowed to come to the celebration until those symptoms have passed. We are also encouraging all those people who are susceptible to contract-ing the virus to please stay home. Archbishop Gomez has dispensed everyone from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. We must be prudent and considerate in order to protect our own health as well as the health of all of our brothers and sisters. To accommodate all those people who cannot attend Mass; we will still be live streaming two Sunday masses on Face-book- https://www.facebook.com/OLGSantaBarbara/ We are requiring that all attendees wear a face mask at all times while on the parish grounds. We are also asking when you arrive for mass to directly go inside to be seated and after mass to directly go to your vehicle; please do not gather in groups before or after mass. I know this may difficult as we are all excited to see one another for the first time but we must keep everyone safe. The “social distancing requirement” of 6 feet of separation between individuals means that a total of 100 people, (this includes the priest, deacon, ushers, communion ministers, and choir) will be allowed to be in the church at each Mass. Therefore, we are asking you to call the parish office to make a reservation or do it on line via our webpage www.olgsb.org. We have changed the mass schedule to be able to properly clean the church after each Mass and to ensure the safety of our parishioners. If the gates are closed when you arrive at the parish, please be patient as the ushers are disinfecting the surfaces of the pews and other areas of contact in the church in order to make ready for your arrival. To accommodate these preparations, the following changes have been made to the Mass schedule for Saturday and Sun-day:

Did You Know? Don’t be afraid to start a conversation about COVID-19 with your children If possible, choose a time when your children are likely to want to talk, perhaps at dinner. Ask what they already know and what questions and concerns they have about COVID-19. Everyone reacts differently, but your children’s questions can guide your discussion. Una carta de nuestro Párroco... Queridos feligreses, Estamos encantados de darle la bienvenida de nuevo a la primera celebración de la misa dominical con una congrega-ción, el 14 de junio. Debido a la situación actual de la pandemia COVID-19, hemos tenido que hacer algunos cambios en nuestro horario y en la forma en que participará en la celebración.

Cualquier persona que actualmente esté exhibiendo cualquiera de los síntomas similares a la gripe, tos, estornudos o fie-bre no puede venir a la celebración hasta que esos síntomas hayan pasado. También estamos animando a todas aquellas personas que son susceptibles a contraer el virus a quedarse en casa. El arzobispo Gómez ha dispensado a todos de la obligación de asistir a la misa dominical hasta nuevo aviso. Debemos ser prudentes y considerados para proteger nuestra propia salud, así como la salud de todos nuestros hermanos y herma-nas. Para acomodar a todas aquellas personas que no pueden asistir a misa; seguiremos transmitiendo dos misas dominicales en Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/OLGSantaBarbara/

Exigimos que todos los asistentes lleven una máscara facial en todo momento mientras están en los terrenos de la parro-quia. También estamos pidiendo que en cuanto se estacionen se dirigían directamente a la puerta lateral del lado de la oficina para ser sentado y después de la misa para irse directamente a su vehículo; por favor no se reúnan en grupos antes o después de la misa. Sé que esto puede ser difícil, ya que todos estamos emocionados de vernos por primera vez, pero debemos mantener a todos a salvo. El "requisito de distanciamiento social" de 6 pies de separación entre individuos significa que un total de 100 per-sonas, (esto incluye al sacerdote, diácono, ujieres, ministros de comunión y coro) se les permitirá estar en la iglesia en cada misa.
