PARTS OF A FACEBOOK PAGE

Time to break it down.

COVER PHOTO Capture The Essence Of Your Business And Showcase Your Product Or Service

Your Cover Photo is the first thing people will see when they visit your Page. Choose a unique photo (851 x 315 pixels) and change it as often as you like. Some examples might include a popular menu item, album artwork or a picture of people using your product. Be creative and experiment with images your audience responds well to.

PROFILE PICTURE (180 X 180 PIXELS) Use A Logo That People Associate With Your Business

Your profile picture represents your Page on other parts of Facebook including News Feed. Choose a picture that embodies your business, such as a logo. Use a high quality image (851 x 315 pixels) that symbolizes your brand efficiently.

TIMELINE TABS View Different Parts Of Your Page Via Its Tabs

Timeline Tabs are located under your cover photo. • Timeline Tab – Displays your Timeline • About Tab – Displays your description and basic information,

including when you joined Facebook and your Page genre • Photo Tab – Displays your photos and photo albums • Likes Tab – Displays your total Page likes, people

talking about your Page, new Page likes and your most engaged city and age group

• More Tab – You can view events, videos and notes or manage your tabs from the More dropdown menu

Please Note: Tabs options will vary from Page to Page. Different Page types have different tab options. For example, a college Page has the option for a Reviews tab while a book Page does not.

For example Page likes, apps, photo, video, posts by others and event widgets all live on the left side of the Page. You will also find your Posts to Page widget here. Be sure to check it often to read and respond to posts by others.

MANAGE POSTS

Pinned Posts – Anchor the most important story to the top of your Page for up to seven days or delete posts that are no longer pertinent.

Highlight and Hide Stories – Highlight important stories or hide stories that aren’t as engaging or relevant.

TIPS FROM FACEBOOK

Publish visually engaging Page posts – While a diverse set of post types is important, posts including a photo album or picture can generate 2X more engagement than other post types.

Use Page Insights to optimize your Page posts – For example, find out when people engage most with your content and post during those hours. On average, Facebook has found that people visit and engage with Pages most often between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., with the 18-24 age group being the most active.

Pin a post each week – Pin an important story to the top of your Page each week. Posts can stay pinned for up to seven days.

Post daily to your Page – Although you can pin a post to the top of your Page, continue to post daily to engage your audience.
