Stewardship Moments
“Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’” - John 20:19
Are you good at making people feel welcome? When you meet someone new, a new neighbor, a new work colleague, a new parishioner, do you make them feel at home? Many of us can proba-bly do a much better job at this. When we make people feel welcome, we make them feel like they are included instead of being excluded. A simple “hello” and a smile goes a long way.

Divine Mercy consecration. Isn’t forgiveness just about the greatest gift you can give somebody? You’ve been hurt. You let them off the hook. They don’t need to pay you back. That’s the gift.
We’re tempted with resentment and withholding mercy when we count on our own store of goodness. We feel that if we forgive and forget we’ll become empty and vulnerable. We’re scared of that and hold back.
But if Jesus breathes on us his Spirit (today’s Gospel scene), then it’s not from our own storehouse that we draw our resources. Believing in his Resurrection, we become conduits of his storehouse of Goodness, inexhaustible, at the right hand of the Father.
Try it and let Easter take hold of you. Share the wealth.
Consecrate yourselves and your families to Jesus’ Divine Mercy using the following prayer:
Act of Family Consecration To Divine Mercy
Centenary of Fatima. Pope Francis has granted a ple-nary indulgence opportunity throughout the 100th anniver-sary of the apparitions of Our Lady to the shepherd chil-dren in Fatima, May 13-Oct13, 1917. There are three ways of obtaining the indulgence.
To obtain the plenary indulgence, the faithful must ful-
fill the ordinary conditions: go to Confession and Com-munion, be interiorly detached from sin, and pray for the intentions of the Holy Father, in addition to the following:
1. Make a pilgrimage to the Fatima Shrine in Portugal. 2. Visit with devotion a statue of Our Lady of Fatima
solemnly exposed for public veneration in any church, oratory, or proper place during the days of the anni- versary of the apparitions. Devoutly participate in some celebration or prayer in honor of Our Lady. 3. For the elderly and infirm, those who, because of age, illness, or other serious cause, are unable to get around well, can pray in front of a statue of Our Lady of Fatima and spiritually unite themselves to the jubi- lee celebrations on the days of the apparitions, the 13th of each month, between May and October 2017. They must "offer to our merciful God with confidence, through Mary, their prayers and sufferings or the sac- rifices they make in their own lives."

We are ready to accept items on May 1. Please leave them downstairs—Social Hall basement—on the table by the steps. Please don’t bring large furniture items. We appreci-ate your help in making our Rummage Sale a success.
Thank you!!!
Thank you to all whose belief in Jesus Christ drew them to the days of grand celebration. Your faith-filled presence does so much to deepen the impact that these sacred liturgies aim to make upon our lives.
Special thanks to those who helped create an at-mosphere appropriate for following Christ through his Passover mystery: the choirs, the decorators, and all who pitched in with so many details.
Thank you to our Youth, the Northern Light Apos-tles, for a great job on Living Stations and the Soup sup-pers.
Thank you to our 3rd graders Alice Hamilton, Ash-lyn Follman, Owen Wilmot, Paige Marsden and Hallie Nero for their contribution during our Easter Mass at St. Mark’s. Great job!
May Our Risen Lord richly reward all you who con-tribute in one way or another to celebrating the truth that He is Alive and in our midst.
Clergy Continuing Education. Every Spring the priests of the Diocese of Fargo gather in Carrington for continuing edu-cation. Dr. Leroy Huizenga will be speaking to the clergy about the Gospel of Matthew. He is Administrative Chair of Human and Divine Sciences at the University of Mary in Bis-marck, N.D.
O Jesus, Divine Mercy, We consecrate our entire life,
from this day forward, to You without reserve.
Into Your hands we abandon our past, our present, and our future. Jesus, we ask You, from this day on,
to look after our family. Help us to be true children of God
and children of your Blessed Mother Mary.
May Your Divine Mercy triumph over all the powers of evil.
Make us channels of Mercy to all, near and far.
To receive and share Your Love is our joy in life, our hope in death
and our glory in Eternity. This we ask through Christ our Lord.
Amen
