Students, parents and teachers have all had to adapt to an entire new way of doing school. And everyone has sincerely stepped up to this challenge. I spent a lot of time in classrooms this week and am so impressed with students’ ability to navigate through both in- person learning and Zoom. My favorite part is watching the students who are here in-person interact with one another and with their remote peers via breakout rooms in Zoom. It doesn’t feel “normal” but is an example of true, collaborative learning being alive and well at Hinsdale South. Parents, please take a moment to praise your child for their adaptability skills. I am sure we will all continue to need these skills as we continue to navigate teaching and learning in a pandemic. Enjoy the glorious weather this weekend and make sure you find time to be outside.
